Description of the incident:
I want to preface by saying I acknowledge what I did was distasteful, maybe even wrong and am not looking for anyone to condone my actions, I am using the intended channels to report misconduct during a ticket.
During an attempt to push back some of the Aliens forces, I had made the joke " I should’ve stayed in art school".
About four minutes later a received a PM from a member of staff requesting that I both refrain from such jokes AND Change my name.
I made a fair and polite argument but nonetheless openly acknowledged the request and respected the wishes of staff on what I refer to as “fair enough” grounds to which the said member replied with a series of pretty unnecessarily hostile (for lack of better word) replies.
Again I’m not looking for a grand spectacle, I just think this form of response was completely unnecessary and it could’ve been handled in a much friendlier light. I’m ultimately going to respect the wishes of staff and whatever the outcome of this report may be.
