Make it so marines can't use underbarrel extinguishers to put themselves out

It’s like a 3 second roll if you accidentally set yourself on fire as a marine. If you need someone else to be there as a xeno, and you can’t spit on yourself anymore as a boiler or spitter, I don’t see the logic in being able to blast the extinguisher from the barrel of your flamethrower directly back at your whole body. If you’re worried about setting yourself on fire, bring a normal size extinguisher instead of a 3 foot long one on the end of a barrel

How many people do you even see on frontline using the underbarrel extinguisher. 6-7?

Xeno castes with ability to pour acid can put out instantly any kind of fire for their allies. (white flame, blue fire, any kinds), valk prae too.

And I doubt everything in our game is supposed to be "logical”, because that implies we’ll have to remove a very long list of items, and we’re not looking for full realism game here, are we? Besides, I doubt you can really effectivelly put yourself out of a fire IRL with a giant extinguisher aimed at yourself.

yep. Put fire out for their allies, not themselves. I see quite a few frontline underbarrel extinguishers - as a medic, i ALWAYS go with it for clearing off spitter acid. And if your one argument is ‘well not many people use it and it’s not supposed to be logical’, find a better argument. Why shouldn’t xenos be able to put their own fire out, the castes with that capability, while marines are able to, even though its much much much less damaging anyways to them
