so we cant process the queen as chef anymore even after the structural integrity of the specimen has been compromised by the harvesting from research. also I cant grow my collection of queen pizzas when I cant retrieve xeno meat from a queen. I would appreciate it if you could allow processed queens to be processed via gibber again.

note for anyone who wants to make queen body gibberable: you need to make sure that the data for queen still exists even if the body is deleted, so that the queen still shows up in roundend stats.

We all have our opinions. It has been one of those things to enjoy as a chef for the longest time. Its literally the reason I still play chef for the most part. We cant access the officer’s mess anymore due to people abusing it. Same thing with the engineering and hacking ability chefs used to have. At this point its like we are stripping everything from the MST that made it one of the most interesting rolls for me personally. There is no expansion to the mess planned or even changes to the food really. We got some sprite updates, the fish litterally have no interaction with recipes other than being “slab of meat” doesnt even change the meatlovers name to salmon meatlovers pizza. The rank of mess sergeant was taken too. If we are going to strip aspects away from a role there needs to be something to fill the void. Gourmet-tising xeno food has been one joy ive had for a long time in cm. Its either pushing that every chef must be some sort of cannible, make drugs, bartender using the cheap ingredients they have, or (which I have done many times before) just make generic food that you get 4-5 people to interact with you over for a minute or two and sit around for 45 mins just making more food just for hijack to come and everything you do being abandoned both shipside and groundside. we can basically be cannibals’ (under the right circumstances) and not be LRP but when we want to eat something inhuman we are LRP it doesn’t make sense

Its easy for me also. But where is that lite spice of having the ability to add to the cooking for the ease of it and not the overly complicated hoops you have to jump through just to get something decent? Alot of it has been removed over the past few years ive been playing cm. Feels restrictive now

Well how about remove the ability from the gibber and just use the base code meatspike? Would seem more plausible for hunters too do and remove the ability to gib the queen and humans. And you can just remove the meatspikes from the kitchen

preds don’t need the gibber anyway and it shouldn’t be removed because it’s a litmus test
the other reason this was removed is that if you gibber the queen it deletes them from showing up at round end + queen corpse is supposed to be completely indestructible

I agree just dont be LRP. Thats a very wide statement though, whats lrp for one person isnt always lrp in itself. There does need to be a standard set in general and I see youve put a foot down, but and hear me out here, is that not the same stance that nerfs have been taken to harm the role and strip away things from the MST in the first place. “Dont be LRP” but lets nerf chef into the ground because shitty new players abuse these concepts? Being able to access certain parts of the ships. officer mess because your the “mess” tech, losing the ability and skills the chef used to have because people where abusing them, losing SGT rank because of an overall change in roles and there timing. So we are removing a function for chef again because youve deemed it lrp (understandable with the queen and the effect it has on the round) but you have removed features for less than LRP. I dont care about the queen being ungibbable at this point, it definitely feels though it has become another argument to restore some features for the mess techs and hold them up to a better standard of roleplay and allow the community to hold them too it also through there actions and RP. If someone goes and gibbs a queen sounds like they need a bwoink.
