Splints staying in place even after each body part heals by bonemend is extremely annoying, most marines don’t even know how to self remove splints.
Not to mention, as far as I know, you don’t get any popup text saying your bones healed so you have to check yourself like a dummy the entire time.
It’s just annoyance that should be removed in my opinion or at least given more text warnings you are walking with useless splints

It’s just an annoyance and doesn’t really benefit to anyone’s experience. It should at the very least make text warnings that you have splints on without fractures.
Too many times I seen clueless marines wearing splints without fractures and had zero idea about their fracs healing. Experienced players as well, not just PVTs. Also as it is right now half of players upon telling them have no idea how to remove splints themselves.

I agree that removing splints should be made more obvious, but I don’t think it’s a problem to click yourself every now and then to check your state. I do it all the time, it makes a lot of sense to me, from roleplay perspective too. In real combat situations, people have to constantly monitor their condition, because adrenaline can make a wound go unnoticed, or perhaps the hit they felt was simply a trick of their mind.
Should definitely be a button somewhere outside of the IC tab but I don’t think this is worth the handhold. Doctors should also be removing splints before fixing bones but they don’t do it either. Probably just needs to be more obvious for both instances that the splint needs to come off.
Idk if its changed, i didnt learn correctly, or i misunderstood, but can you remove a single specific splint without taking them all off? I dont bother doing either, just kill me and my EOD honestly.
