Map in survival pouch.

We have a ridiculous amount of survivors that don’t know the map. It’s not only killing themselves but dooming others to death as well(because without the proper coordination survivors quickly and easily get rushed 1 by 1).
In each round, always, there will be 2~ survivors without the map knowledge(they always get captured unless a literal miracle happens).
I don’t know why they roll for survivors without learning(at least basics) the map, but it is what it is.
So I suggest adding in survival pouch current colony’s/station’s map.
How can you not know your own colony? Forgot because of shock? Amnesia? Nah, that doesn’t work. You can see what happened to such guys once the round starts in the caves/labs/hive.
Survivors aren’t meant to be xenos’ food as everyone says. They must have at least some chances, even the new guys.

I like this idea. (Tweny Character Limit)

Personally it seems like a good balance, and in an RP sense not every survivor is going to know what to do maybe they just got lucky intill that point. If you are a good survivor you thrive if not you die. Im cheeky and i hide in a casket under a bed for half a round to get that juicy coward RP. Fear is the driver to make mistakes in high intensity situations and theres always going to be that one guy who cant find his ass even if you give them a flashlight and a map that points them too it

I think a map would be a fine idea.

If every RFN gets a map now, just makes sense.

Thats what you take out of that?

Skill issue, clearly. About the map, last time I tried using it, the map takes quite a while to win against old BYOND spaghetti code, or unfold, if you want to use the in-game description. Just open the wiki map and you’ll have a better chance to survive, and don’t roll survivor without knowing the map anyways.

Survivors lives extremely highly depend on their comrades and what can they do if they don’t even know where they need to go to unite? Such players are really newbies, I bet that they use wikimaps(BTW wikimaps are not working now). And not giving chances for the others guys that know their thing is not fair. They must be able to know the map somehow. Even if you say the direction they need to go they won’t find it, we had a lot of such situations nowadays(try observing them or playing survivor yourself)

It takes 5~ seconds to load, it is WAY MUCH better that not seeing it and just running circles.

If you are yourself newbie and/or using lockerhiding strat you are ruining other survivors’ experience pretty much. Each survivor individual is important as hell.

P.S We are still keep having the bald players rolling for the survivors, the tide is not stopping.

Are we going to ban people from locker hiding?

I disagree it seems all to realistic for someone to cower in a locker from the aliens after seeing your buddies chest explode into gore and an alien lifeform. Also its not normally the brave who survive but the cowardly, conniving, and resourceful or a mix of all three that survive. Take actual war for instance. Most of the people who survived overwhelming odds or surprise attacks either hid, disguised, played dead, or even just got lucky as all hell. Occasionally the strong get taken as prisoners but most of the time the strong are put down because getting any info or use out of them is nigh impossible. For xenos the strong but captured just become more xenos. So your survivor experience might be getting ruined because you dont play like that, but the in general realistic RP reaction is proper and maybe do some self reflection before saying others are ruining it. Also reflect on the game take it from a new point of view and not that of just a gameplay win standpoint. Most colonists are civilians and even at research facilities for W-Y they dont even know what XX-121 is intill it breaks out of containment. Take it from a civilian standpoint not just someone who is ready for it meta or otherwise. I get if your security theres a bit more of a turse and emotionless response but not jerry who just saw his friend get dragged away while he hid in the locker nearby and watched his fellow civilian get dragged away through the slits in the locker.

Survival pouch is already very large. If you’re looking at a map as a survivor you are probably already dead. I don’t really see the requirement other than baiting new players into a false sense of security.

What does that have anything to do with dying, xeno’s can not find you in seconds. Unless you go to the spots that are always caded yeah, you’ll probably die, but not all the time?

Being able to navigate the map is key to surviving as a survivor, if you don’t know the map and push yourself into a dead end its over.
