Description of the incident:
I late join and deploy as marine. In the DS the OT hands me 2 boxes of mines which upon deployment I start placing around north coms on LV east LZ which is closest and some in west of cargo. Apparently other mines were placed there as well as I start getting pings and hear explosions. At this point I dont know if its xenos or something else so I move to investigate. On the way I hit a pred mine and hit resist to get out of it. Pred swings by cloaked and picks it up (thanks i guess im not getting hunted?). I get no more pings and I assume its gone so I start mining west of cargo. Pred swings by out of nowhere and starts attacking me. No warning no nothing. I have not shot at it or attempted anything hostile directly towards it. I attempt to disengage and move east try to draw my gun but end up dying. As a ghost I see them plasma caster a mine then the box which was around half full effectively destroying it. Got revived in fob, picked up the second box and moved on beach to mine the front south of the main force. Pred stepped on another mine east, I assume got mad, saw me with the box and said “fuck this marine in particular” as he proceeded to attack me again. Defended myself as best as I could but my dude just dragged my dead body west beach and beheaded me effectively round removed me. As far as I know preds can hunt others but usually there is either a warning or an escalation tho that may not be needed. Just round removing me because he kept hitting mines doesnt sound fair to me. Again I know pred honor code very vaguely so the things that stand out are the following. 1 attacking me with no warning near fob. 2 Destroying the OT mine box. 3 round removal for no real reason.
Edit after re-reading the honor code:
Evidence:
unfortunately none, I did ahelp it but it got closed with the “open a whitelist report” button and by that time the logs of the attack were just gone from the chat.
