In game today. Marines camping behind cades with high population and all 4 specs waiting for stims at 50 minutes. Queen gets tired of this and tries to backline, dies. Marines charge into caves. Yeet 100%, blowing selves up, running with hedgehog spikes in. Hedgehog runs into melee and shields, marines shoot through. Marines in melee have no issues, hedgehog has to run because low health, marines with spikes chasing. Upon examination, one has ib from this.
One marine throws OT nade, lights half the marine force on fire, another puts it out and marines continue pushing forward. Sadar shoots a HE at the bzerker rav, misses, hits near marines, blows marines to side, stuns zerker rav, zerker rav dies, side marines get up and are fine.
Another marine uses BRUTE to blow up hive defenses, defending xenos can’t do much. Lurker pounces the first marine to charge, marine next to him, in about .5 of a second, drops his long range rifle, switches to shotgun, point blank shoots lurker, switches back to rifle in another quarter of a second and shoots the stunned/low health lurker as it jumps and tries to move (while slowed)
Like, at some point, are yall gonna punish dumb gameplay? It seems like now, marine viable strat is to just hold w and throw/shoot everything possible.
Cadehug until momentum buildable. Xenos have 0 room for error or its a game loss (or even if they just have a bad queen). What’s the point in playing if even good gameplay and good kills and good strategy still results in an overwhelming loss?
Edit: Exact next round watched some medic shoot a dead guy with 60u of kelo and then toss some dyvo and inapp and kelo/bicar and dude got up from dead, with a MASSIVE OD, and continued to walk around until he was full health. Cmon
