Description of the incident:

Skadihildur Grimsdottir joined late into the round as the XO. Upon a callout of the Queen breaching the FOB, they chose to an OB at the MANNED FOB with Marines actively engaging the Queen and killing her. The OB was fired with minimal warning, after the Queen had died, and ended up killing a number of Marines. Now, I fully understand that it’s mostly an IC issue, but I have time and time again seen Grimsdottir do absolutely insanely incompetent things as an Officer as well as in general act in a manner unbecoming of an Officer. I genuinely dread seeing them in any Officer position as CO knowing that at some point I’m going to need (or want) to Brig them for completely out-of-character behavior that no sane Officer would do.

Firing on a manned OB as an XO is beyond the pale and shouldnt be something ANY member of CIC should be doing, especially if it ends in the deaths of Marines.

Evidence:

Short of me and my Guard having to book it from an OB launched at the LZ’s landing pad as the Alamo was in transit to said LZ, I dont think much more needs to be said.

Hey there, @matttheficus. Thank you for your report.

Staff who were online at the time evaluated this incident as an IC issue, and I don’t believe that decision should be overturned. They thought it was the right thing to do, to fire the OB. Whether it was a good or bad call is a separate discussion, and whether it was done solely to grief the Marines is another matter entirely. We can see that it may have been a bad call, but we do not consider it to be griefing.

With the mutiny afterwards, we decided that the situation resolved itself ICly and did not require staff intervention.

As for your concerns about the player and their roleplay, we will be monitoring them closely. If we se a pattern of roleplay that we find problematic, we may take action.
