I am infinitely glad to be free of finals forever (hopefully!)
Question 1
Prey in possession of the corpse of a fellow Yautja is Temporarily Dishonorable. Given that, it allows the use of your Plasma Caster in Lethal mode, as well as any multitude of weapons. A well-placed Eradicator bolt can take out the turret. The walls themselves can either be shot or bashed down. After that, the first focus is securing the body of the fallen Yautja. Stunning the human, then securing the body to have its Self Destruct activated would be my main goal - as dying in combat is an honor, and SDing them is even more so.
There is the matter of the human who defeated the Yautja, they could be allowed to leave. I would weigh their actions in the fight, and whether they desecrated the body of the fallen Yautja at all. If they had, they would be put down. If they did not, I would attempt to have them leave the Hunting Grounds via the translator, as a human who defeated a fellow Yautja yet only secured their body did manage to best them in combat. Perhaps they brought them to the temple to pay respects? There’s a multitude of caveats that could fit, and would depend heavily on the human’s choices and actions.
Question 2
The main thing I would want to look for is some act of valor - perhaps a Marine who managed to fend off a lurker/drone combo or other backline nuisances in order to save another Marine. Or a rank-and-file PFC Marine who shows leadership ability and rallies other Marines to do a task away from the front lines - any Marine who can get others to follow them is likely one who understands honor and skill. A slightly more OOC angle, if I observe a group of Marines RPing and chatting and having some actual character, I may aim for one of them instead, as a thrall who just wants to run about and murder isn’t always someone who you can have a meaningful engagement with from an RP perspective.
In terms of tasks for the Thrall, I would have them perform some minor tasks such as cleaning up the Ship or the Trophies while explaining their importance and how the trophies were hunted. If they prove their ability to listen, learn, and understand the basic tenants of Honor, I would then spend some time training them on their weapons and then take them back to the Hunting Grounds and select targets for them to hunt. I see Thralls as a kind of “Youngblood, but a human”, an opportunity to mix the ideals of ingenuity and adaptability of humankind, but bound in the rigors of Honor and strength of the Yautja.
Question 3
I would start by asking the blooded Yautja to explain themselves - if they are simply insulting my ability, I would respond with annoyance and dismissiveness. They have done no work on the Lodge, and only speak their opinions! Mal’rah has little care for those who do not prove their worth - especially in the creation of an art or craft. And while I would allude to the fact that Masonry is not my chosen calling as a member of the Loxzil clan, the idea that a blooded Yautja from a clan who may or may not have crafting as a core feature is teetering on the edge of disrespect.
If they decide to continue to be insulting without cause, I would challenge them to an Honor Duel. If there is one thing that a member of the Loxzil clan will not stand for is to be talked down to in regards to the creation of art and other crafts, which the Lodge surely counts. The lethality of the duel would likely depend on the severity of the insults - grave ones would be to the death.
If they go into the background of their clan or of their own history and there is some mention of masonry, crafting, or other technical skills that might show their knowledge would be above my own, I would use that as a hook to learn - some responses that sound insulting at first are simply brusque and blunt. While pride would demand that they cease their directly insulting words, if they are able to teach instead of being rude, I would seize the opportunity to learn from them.
Let me know if there’s any further clarifications you might need!
