MaximusRex - Whitelist Report: Ko’ka Nhon, Predator Honor Code - Welfare of Prey

What’s your BYOND key?

MaximusRex

Round ID:

27364

Your character name:

Prime Runner GR-UG

Accused BYOND key:

campinkiller (I think)

Accused character name:

Ko’ka Nhon

What rule(s) were broken?:

Predator Honor Code - Welfare of Prey

Whitelist in question:

Predator

Description of the incident:

I was playing runner in the backline of LV-624 , when a fellow runner and I came across a lone CL speaking to a Predator. We swooped in for the capture on the CL, only to get LPCed repeatedly by the Predator who came to their defense. Seeing the opportunity, the CL escaped to the safety of marine lines before we could do anything. I yelled at the other runner to “RUN” and we booked it. As we ran, the predator in question followed us and issued a warning: “Don’t interfere again”, or something to that accord. From my understanding on the honor code, predators are only allowed to assist someone of another faction if they are both Prey AND engaged in active combat with them, neither of which conditions were met by the situation at hand. I believe this is a clear violation of the Honor Code as written.

Evidence:

Unfortunately, none. Logs will show the tackles in fitness, and the dchat conversation I had with Campin afterwards in which I expressed my concerns.

I don’t really have much to add here, already gave my side in DMs, but might as well post it too. I was setting up a little spot, hanging a few bodies, and the CL appeared right as I did with another body, which I threw next to him and uncloaked to begin some rp. Pretty soon after GRUG and RAR3 appeared and tried to cap the CL. I fired my LPC 3 times, and only 3 times because the first 2 I was on the low power setting that doesn’t affect xenos, then I ran the CL off and told you both to not interfere with me again.

My view of it is that I kept someone who is unhuntable in an unsafe spot to roleplay, and as such, owed him protection under the spirit of the whitelist

Hello, and thank you for the report.

The Council has updated the Honour Code to clarify that yautja may not defend prey they are not currently engaging/fighting. While this clarification has now been made, the Council has decided not to issue a punishment to campinkiller for the reported infraction.
