Why do you want to become a Mentor?:
I want to be able to help out both new and experienced players alike. I also would like to help people to not make the same mistakes that I have made in the past, and to give people a positive experience when playing CM.
What gameplay areas do you know and which areas are you strong and weak in?:
I am strong in the following roles: XO, Req, RFN, Spec, SG, SL, Medic, Engineer, Survivor, Doctor, RTO, and SO.
While I am not very good at Research, IO, DP, or OT. But I plan on playing them more in order to learn.
How often are to able to play CM?:
Regularly. Couple hours a day.

I just would like to be able to help both new and experienced players! I’ve done a fair bit of reading into things on the Wiki, especially for marine weapons and what not. I hope you’ll allow me the chance to do this!
So, I can vouch for your game skill. Problem is you have a lot of recent notes and are unfortunately LRP the majority of the time I interact with you. However, you do have potential and are taking a step in the right direction. I respect that. Give it a month and you will be prime material. -1 for now but the coils of potential are in you.
Most of the time I have seen you in-game you have been arrested and brigged over some dumbshit I have seen you pull. To be clear I have no issue with anyone being arrest and briged if things like you have a solid IC reason to do what you did, but as I rack my brain thinking back on you I can’t recall one. This leads me to question how or you would improve yourself. As Duke has stated before me its your LRPing and notes that would my biggest issue here. As a mentor new players will look to you in more ways then one, and older players will expect you to know you shit and keep up to date. What will you as a mentor give back to the community given there are come concerns over the way you play IC?
Why is it you chose to apply while we weren’t accepting applications? It was announced multiple times on the Discord and as the Discord is required as a mentor you’re generally expected to keep up to date with announcements, etc.
If people see the forum for applications is open and that other people are making responses to it of course they’re going to assume applications are open.
The most recent announcement that mentions mentor applications I could find on the discord has like 90% of the post talking about how with the new forums they hope they’ll still get a lot of feedback from people, and then says “As soon as the new application and some other things are setup on the new forums we’ll re-open applications for mentors.”
It is perfectly reasonable for someone to have seen this forum with posts in it and thought that this meant applications were now open.
Maybe instead of blaming others you should take it as a sign you didn’t communicate well enough. A post saying “The mentor section on the forums is not actually for use, it is simply a place holder. Actual applications will be open soon. Do not apply yet” would have been a good thing to say but I can not find a post like that anywhere on the discord.
If this gets used against people in their reapplications then I think you are being incredibly unfair.
I actually didn’t put the mentor applications up so maybe you should stop trying to blame me which ironically you’re trying to admonish me for, whoever setup the forum set them up and left them open without mentioning it to me. It has been communicated multiple times in lesser announcements that they were closed, I never said they were open if something is never said to be open that usually means it’s not.

I understand that there may be concerns over the way that I play my character, recently I have found myself being a bit more LRP than normal as I have gotten somewhat bored of the repetitive loop of going rifleman, taking a shotgun, and rushing xenos. So I decided to start playing more MT. As MT I was doing things to try and entertain other shipside roles such as MPs. Further, I was mentoring multiple people as MT using OOC.

As it was in Minor Announcements, I didn’t see it with the plethora of other announcements that are in that channel. Further, there was no ping with it. In my opinion there should be a Forums role, as that would make it easier for everyone involved to both see and understand that there are things going on with the forums, instead of having to search through the announcements to find something that they don’t know exists. Further, there could have been a post within the Mentor Applications section saying that none are being accepted at the time.
Indeed, I’ve only had access to Minor Announcements myself until recently, and thought it wasn’t like entire server ping worthy over. I announced they were closed basically at the start of the new application system on Discord before we swapped to the new forums, I also wasn’t aware of the mentor applications being open until recently because I hadn’t been contacted on the matter and when I did I had put out a rather recent announcement saying they should be open soon.
How would you characterize your recent Discord ban? Any ban is more than enough to deny an application, I have to state I’m personally very uncomfortable with people “horny posting” in the CM Discord. Do whatever with your friends and in other Discords but this one is just not the audience, I obviously can’t accept you with a Discord requirement while you’re banned from the Discord as well.
To start off, the most recent discord ban as RP previously stated is more then enough to deny the application, also on your appeal you appeared unapologetic and just not the kind of attitude I normally would expect to see in other mentors.
I also just generally have not had any positive interactions with you, IC, or OOC.
I Don’t doubt that you have the skill to be a mentor but Your attitude just seems hostile and I personally would not trust you with the newbies.
After being banned for posting cropped up porn + countless other memes that were not appropriated for a server with minors, you doubled down on this incredibly poor behavior by speed posting even more of them once people told you to stop. Even worse, you claim in your appeal that you “didn’t know it was porn!!” when some of the distasteful memes you posted were directly referencing that same cropped up “mistake”.
Your disingenuous behavior belongs nowhere near any ranking position.
I don’t mean to parrot what has already been said, but let me put it this way:
If you were actually serious about applying for a position (be it IRL or for a gaming community), would you have continued to make the same decisions that have just netted you a ban and most assuredly a denied application?
Yep changing mine to -1 as well, for said ban you got.
Like why would you even post that or think something like that is OK to post discord server that is not even 18+?
