I am not saying this to go against admins. I don’t want people going against the admins just because of our disagreement. They still keep the servers clean and were respectable. They still want me on the servers. My passion has been killed though.
In a similar way that the admins do not trust what I say, I do not trust them for future events leading to escalated bans. I do not blame them though: they have to make a decision somewhere, and they do not monitor everyone 24/7. Also words are cheap. As such, it best for everyone that I just disconnect from the community and play muted. I won’t have to go through this drama again, just playing the game neutrally. No rage, no comments, no worries. When my ban lifts, I will be MUTE on xeno, and random ‘Muted’ random to make it clear you won’t get a conversation out of me. Not that I can’t talk, but any communication would only be game relevant. If I ever take a position that has to use communication a lot I will just choose a random name and again only game relevant information.
As such, this is my final post on the forums for the foreseeable future. I don’t know if I will be back, but it won’t be anytime soon. Til then, the spirits of MHVO and vincent frontiers will be drifting out in the void.
As a final note: no talking about my linked post, or anything related like mentions of the admins in this topic. The linked topic is locked and shouldn’t be circumvented. Also I appreciate you Duke, you made the forums feel more alive.
Thats honestly a really sad way to play the game and not fun for anyone. Please man, either live with whats happened, or go play something else, theres been some real killer releases this year.
What point is it playing a roleplay let alone a multiplayer game and refusing to speak or interact with the other players, and I’d dare say it doesn’t really reflect well on yourself.
Frankly I’m not sure if I’m just falling for forum ban bait, because emiix got rule 11’d for much less.
One can play at mute and still enjoy the atmosphere. But i understand were they are coming from…tis real shame i can only hope they will come back to RP one day. I only saw them in passing in the medbay but it always added character that the dull medbay sorely needed.
It’s unfortunate, I was in a similar situation to you when I’d get into trouble for things said in dchat or IC and I also thought I’d just turn into a mute player, similar to the majority of people who play the game. I did always go back to talking since it’s more fun.
I dunno, most people on the server are like this and they play the game just fine, also why didn’t anyone handle Emiix’s appeal?
I think you’d be happier doing anything else with your time. You’re not a bad guy, but you have a tendency to get revved up over things and lose your ability to pump the brakes. Even looking at this topic specifically screams as a massive overreaction to things. If you’re going to set yourself up to play conditionally with loops and other bullshit involved, you’re just setting yourself up to be frustrated.
If you’re going to leave. Leave and go find things that make you genuinely happy without crashing the fuck out on shit for a while. It sounds to me like that’s what you need.
