You use the drag yourself to a wall like that is added in. “you look around the corner with a mirror” or something. The xeno/marine who is on the stairs cant see you. Xeno can do it too.
It will eliminate the issue “I go first and pray i live”. Instead you cling yourself to see the next stairs view. basicly how look up ladder work. The enemy can’t see you tho. If both sides do it, the stairs seems empty, but both can look/down on the same stairs until someone actually walk on it. It will lead to a point where you can look thru corners in cm, but I don’t see any harm in that, Look to be safe is what we all do when you are in a unknown territory, i feel this will add to MultiZ and cm generally. Its honestly already half baked in. You can clearly see as marine who is resting into a wall and who is not. So you can literally ask them IC. “is it clear?” I do know this will bring back ice_v2 ladder camping tho. But it is something. I know it will lead you can look thru any corners in 2d view. But why is that bad? Of course when you are on the same Z level on the other as enemy you can see them on the wall. I dunno, maby a bad thought

You already can look up a set of stairs. Visibility might be an issue, but this is more a mapping issue, most mappers will generally make staircases fairly wide with good visibility on both ends to reduce the risk of it being a hell choke.

I think I know what they want, option to peak around the edge, see before you can be seen to asses the situation before you can be warrior lunged/sadared. at some point perhaps, right now I am not sure how to do it

This what I was thinking of the side effects of it, but working on stairs aswell. Its just a safe mechanic for both things. Thank you cube for explaining better than me.
