Well here we are, 2024! I am amazed byond work still or at all, or even supported but here we are! I cut to the chase, I miss the lrc meltdowns.

Old CM when it was open source: I miss the PR feedback in discord the devs/contri never read at all anywhy. it was place we players could open our mouth and pure 100% salt came out. The higher up’s found it was a bad thing, even tho they said they never read it. They even told us in discord they would never read it, so why take it away? It was a place where us common people could speak out.

What happend?: If any higher ups would go in there. wear protection, but if you did you did it on your own risk. (spolier alret, they did read it all. even if a post was 999 pages long)

The Irnony: I just find it funny that it was made for PUBLIC feedback and they said them self they never read it. And its gone like that because they don’t like public info what they do. “We work here for free” (waa waa) I don’t deserve this (waa waa) and they read it even then. (just don’t read it then)… Hold your breath.

Spoiler: They read it. Sensitive staff will not accept negativity they work here for free and you are just a player without a speech to speak out.

New vs old: I remember the time back in time when CM was not open source. Devs removed xeno macro and said it was a bug for a entire year. (not until new staff not current staff said it in the open they did it on purpose.
What is differnt?: Back then what we could do and not: We could see the win and loss at the round end. Who won the round? marines did! or xeno! was it minor or major? it said it all in bold text in the end of game. And in dicord you could see in end of round group who won, who lost.

Current staff:
Devs/staff want you to think its a game where winning does not matter. Your voice do not matter. Who wins does not matter to you with buffs or nerf. Never talk bad to a PR. (Well we can’t can we, its gone now. )

Summary:
There is no public place in cm/discord anymore, and it worry me like they think they are a huge ass big company as disney where “I DESIDE ITS MY GAME I RULE WOO” People need a place where they can speak out, say words and nod and disagree. even if its have 1000 reply in to it. not silenced like it’s now.

Welcome to 2024 CM:
There is no win and loss. so if you join in to have a challange, you are most likely to join the winning side. Only way to find it out is to obeserve to bedtime. You can’t speak out on any pr beside to the creators, never between others players because they clearly read the pr feedback back in the days any why and got butthurt from it. 2024. CM is now only staff based only. any complaint is to staff/pr only.

How it was before:
Neth had bad things he did. I have outlived most head staffs since 2016-2017. The new one is just one of many. But this staff really take the public oppinon to a whole new level. North korea CM where they share no public info of cm condition at all. win vs losses? no. PR added and shared oppinion? no. Cm is more closed up than it is open source at this point

Right, what is schizo about it? Please and i must add, i beg you to tell me otherwise. Why did you say i was schizo?. A story i hope? Or was it just a attention line and leave sorta thing? Im am both confused and amused by it. But i want to know

Also, I really don’t care that much if my personal feedback is ignored, there’s better feedback out there - but I do feel like that better feedback is also getting ignored - how many PR’s are there with a slew of thumbs downs that get merged regardless?

That’s not a good thing to see.

People disagreeing with changes actually is valuable feedback.
In fact I’d put more weight on that than on upvotes and go out of my way to ask people what they’re having problems with.

While people saying what exactly is bad/good/whatever is better feedback, tons of reddit downvotes atleast tell you that it isn’t a too popular PR and you may have to rethink about what the playerbase actually wants.

Yeah, I really don’t see why “mass downvotes” gets seen as people piling on 4 no raisin- If people dislike something enough to shit vote it into oblivion, then I’d obviously have second thoughts on whether it’s actually a good decision for the community, rather than automatically dismiss it as stupid peasants bandwagoning for the sake of it.
