Unfortunately had the pleasure of playing this entire round. This caused more issues than it was worth, as some of the green xenomorphs didn’t want to attack marines, and vice versa.

The queen instantly being smited just broke the alliance we had and the flow of us killing the last few xenomorphs. If anything, if this was a solution to end the round quicker, it only prolonged it at the cost of another player’s experience that had no control over their own death. This is the kind of experience that causes new players to lose interest or quit playing altogether, especially a new and learning Queen.

Was the XO - I think its worth noting that admins could not have known there was a betrayal cooking and even if they did, admin gibbing a queen makes little sense.

It round removes a player, and does not actually bring the round to a close in any way.

Greenos hostile due to lack of queen just extends the round needlessly. It was not needed and in severe poor taste.

I, as XO, sent a ahelp asking if admins wanted me to end the round with the decrypted nuke, or could we finish the last bit of bug hunting (two xenos)

Rather than tell me yes, directly or IC, a king was spawned, and the greeno queen was admin gibbed making greenos mechanically register as hostiles.

It was an oddly xeno focused conclusion to a clear marine victory, but I can somewhat see both sides of the argument regarding the king. Its a fun end to a round, though perhaps heavy handed. - i personally dispute this too but its not as much of an issue.

What I cannot see is for no apparent reason round removing a new player in a hard to get, fun role, with no context or warning.

Several others share this view.

Hi Nagoll,

This was me and it was a mistake.
There was two seperate things going on, so lets not confuse this with the event and the king.

Yes, I bombed you for delaying. I mistook your attempts to regroup as ignoring the QMs will, which was egged on by other people in the hive. It was only after the fact in dsay that I saw your plan and that the other xenos didn’t represent you.

Either way, Sorry to have taken you out of the round. Had it not ended shortly after, I would have attempted to respawn ya.
