Your character name:

Their BYOND key:

LTNTS

What are you reporting?:

Violation of Event Protocols

Description of the incident:

Round was at around 2:45 hours, marine and xenos are actively fighting on comms
An admin (presumably LTNTS since he was the only one online) decides to break the stalemate by giving marines a nuke without needing to hold neither comms tower with no warning for xenos (10 layers of barricades were built on the nuke before it was even announced to xenos)

From staff event guildlines:
Staff can attempt to break a stalemate if a round has continued for 2.5-3 hours AND marine/xeno combat has stalled, with neither side being able to make progress.

Not only did combat not stall but the stalemate was broken in the worst possible way that came to mind with it being completely one sided.

Yellows here, one of the t3s during the nuclear phase

The front how it was stated, was in a stalemate like form with marines refusing to push the hive when it was down to 7 and xenos struggling to break the marines open field advantage. However xenos were
slowly gaining steady caps and slowly pushing against the marine front. (overall stalemate)

The nuclear warhead was given to marines without a comms restriction in place. And roughly 2-3 minutes after it was started xenos took over both comms grid. Thats my perspective on this matter.

I personally think that the nuclear warhead should have been restricted to the comms as normal, just reduced to 1 comms needed as its a counterbalance mechanic or a warning should have been given to the xenos about the no comms nuclear warhead before it was stuffed behind 5-7 cadelines and catching the entire xeno team off guard.

Overall in my view nothing was done in malice but rather the intent to end the round as xenos DID break most cades to reach the nuclear warhead to disarm it but was stopped by 1 final layer

As you have yourself said, “Staff can attempt to break a stalemate if a round has continued for 2.5-3 hours AND marine/xeno combat has stalled, with neither side being able to make progress.”.

The round was going for nearly 3 hours, and it was a stalemate. The xenos only began to gain ground when the marines fell back because of the nukes deployment. Xenos get warnings from the game automatically about the nuke being activated.
