Obligatory loadout thready

As a non-medical role, I guess it’s a legit strat to save room for other shit.

you can use the belt slot for

  1. mateba holster (then put your magazines in a regular webbing, this is 6 Mk1 mags which is like almost 600 rounds alone)
  2. smartgun belt (SMARTGUN BELT)
  3. MD
  4. general utility pouch ( i guess this sucks now lol )

I’d take a lifesaver bag if medical wasn’t usually cleaned the hell out by the time I need to deploy!!! I’m not heading to the ground to frag, I’m heading to ground to shout at the marines to do what I want in person and use fire support!

Officers aren’t meant to frag! They’re a support class on the ground!!!

rule #1: never listen to Keaton cuz he owes Gramps gambling money
rule #2: SEAs actively sabotage operations due to “High Command”
rule #3: only harass, never acknowledge Keatons

more importantly if one’s chosen role has t1 medical they can still cram stuff into the medrig. one of the last morrow updates halted non-engies from stuffing engi stuff into small containers and similar for medics unless your role had a tier in related skills. i guess morrow hated pfc+s but refused to screw over anyone but pfcs.

I regularly play medic/engineer and that change actually screwed me playing engineer/medic more than it did PFC

I used to stuff my extraneous gear - APC boards, MRE’s, batteries, C4, injectors, splints, cable, etc. etc. into these things. As medic I always had a medkit filled with MRE’s + splints at a minimum. Then along comes morrow with absolutely no idea how anyone plays any of these roles or uses any of this gear and screws it all up.

The engineer toolkit went from being one of the best things added for engineers in ages to completely worthless overnight.

Meanwhile we still have glaring storage issues like certain pouches prioritizing all your tools over belts/webbing and magharness weapons defaulting to your backslot if its open instead of suitslot first.

Man was out looking for things to nerf rather than looking for things to make the game better

you’re not meant to frag but you can also get almost everything a medrig can do done by just taking a MEDKIT WITH BASIC MEDS + DEFIB

you’re not a corpsman!!!

I use the belt slot to carry a magazine belt, but then again I also carry two magazine pouches because I use the M4RA so I need all the ammo I can get. General pouch is a good take though.

dont even need a pic, take your shirt off and fill your backpack full of 6 rollerbeds and run in there and get your comrades brother

Backpack? With a backpack there’s no way in hell you’re gonna be able to get a roller out in time.

I find the M4AR almost necessitates the rack pack from req.

I thought it’d be fun to go with 2 ammo boxes and deployable cades, but in practice it takes too long to pull the cades out and put them away to be viable; rack pack honestly should be usable from the back just for playability.

Anyway dropping an ammo box at your feet does wonders for making the M4AR viable longer than 5 minutes, but you quickly run into the problem of everyone else just assuming your ammo box is theirs for the taking, so you have to get creative about hiding it next to you.

And with IFF changes you basically cannot play this sort of second line support at all anymore, so I guess it’s all moot. Doesn’t sound like the IFF stuff is being rolled back either.

So I tried a different strat this round (I’m in it at the time of posting, dead so I have time to post), but I went in with a single magazine pouch, an ammo belt, and black webbing (its TACTICAL, that’s why its black), and it worked out pretty okay. I even had a magazine of AP and five extra shells for a shotgun. Even found ammo for the taking when I had to fall back to our FOB.

Yea, I don’t use the IFF anyway because it doesn’t work, I just try to watch between me and the shot… I still shoot people who don’t get the problem of “Firing lines” though… Actually almost shotgunned a guy’s head off over that (also stole my gun, but to be fair I was about to fisticufs him and he grabbed it first, so eh).

If you’re going to do backline fire support without IFF there’s no reason to use the M4AR - just grab an XM88. You’ll be using it the same way but it deals 2x the damage per hit (which really goes to show just how bad the M4AR is as fire support without IFF - the xm88 itself is mid and the M4AR is an xm88 with half the damage)

One of the few really viable M4AR loadouts now is just bipod no scope on a cadeline with a long approach like a tunnel, and you’ll be competing for that space with every shotgun, smg, flamer, and m41 unga too.

Erm actually it’s M4RA

Seeing as new loadout threads are getting started, just thought I’d necro this thread to bring some old loadouts back to light.
