I for the first time was wondering about buffs, What buffs do i want? For the first time in 7 years i thought. What should really be in the game, so i started fired up my brain and i thought what is stupid strong right now and IF it never was in, would it be allowed back in again at this date? And then i forgot what i was thinking of the first place and i thought this:
CM was just about HvX, just marine versus xeno. pew pew vs slash slash. No other things. Imagine, just imagine you see a PR
“OB” 2 screens wide and height, you will get HE, Incid, Cluster. Imagine how OP that sound.
Then i thought about research, Speed marines, narruto speed! MST NST PR!
If a PR that strong like that got added in a pr right now i hardly think it would ever EVER go past any head admins or the Host owner. Then i start to wonder, what other things you think would never ever get in CM if it was added in a test/pr today that we currently have? Most of the reason i got to this is because of ideas (PR’s) that want in. And people think its stupid OP, but honestly. Compared what that is currently in, its kinda actually weak. (But that is not OP, because that is already in CM) And after that thought, i cant unthinking it
Guys I have this incredible idea where in our 60 marine platoon we choose like 4 of them to become super special (they aren’t protagonists bro, trust me. They just have OP gear and OP armour that is leagues ahead of whatever PFCs get, and should get special abilities they can activate). In fact, I think we should make it so these super-special marines become 60% of the effective firepower of the entire platoon, and make marines rely on keeping these super-special marines alive to kill the enemy T3s easily because it’s really cool and forces teamwork.
Again, they aren’t protagonists, since protagonist syndrome is NOT a part of CM!!! We don’t want protagonist marines running around alone in the dark, invisible and soloing all the backliners! That’d be crazy, right???

guys I have this idea for a drone caste, so like instead of being able to emit pheromones or build, it gets the ability to make tunnels (definitely not fast travel points) and traps on the ground. the tunnels will allow xenos to instantly travel across the entire map in 5 seconds. The drone caste evolution can build an infinite amount but they have a cooldown.
“But what about reverse bursting? shouldn’t a xeno be careful about when/where they devour a marine??? this is literally xeno handholding with 0 counterplay for a tackled marine that did 99.99% dmg to a runner but they devour and tunnel”
the marine lost when they got tackled SMH.
“But what about command? this literally completely takes away the skill from knowing when/where xenos are going to rotate from/to, as the xenos can TELEPORT wherever they want!”
uhm skill issue break the tunnels using C4 or a 30 second windup for a specific tool.
“these traps sound annoying, what’s gonna stop the burrower from just making 50 traps in a corner of the map?? IOs will literally be unable to play if they’re triggering traps that ALERT THE ENTIRE HIVE EVEN IF DISARMED to their location??? this makes IO impossible to play if there’s a single burrower around.”
uhm just walk past the 3x3 triggering traps that are hidden by a sheet of metal
Burrower would never make it in today (just like how Drone T3 is never gonna exist)
Okay so I have a new idea for a marine weapon, so you know how marines are the “ranged, consistent DPS against the relative burst damage of xenos” faction? what if we just throw that out and give marines a SHOTGUN, you know, to fight back against the **MELEE FOCUSED FACTION **faction. it should do… 240 damage AND STUN to a xeno.
also you should be able to PB with 1 hand out, even if you’re on wield cooldown so that you can use it against the hit and run xenos. Did I mention it should be able to 1shot runners from full hp?
Won’t this just mean that runners pounce the shotgun user and instantly die? why not have it so that you can’t have a PB (100% ACCURACY) while you’re on wield cooldown to prevent marines from instantly shooting after being unstunned?
Correct! the runner should be able to read the sprite of the marine and notice that they have the ability to instantly kill you and not engage. Xenos should simply adapt to marines having the ability to instantly halve their hp the moment they get up from a stun in MELEE RANGE against the MELEE FOCUSED FACTION

vali port wouldn’t even be that bad because marines don’t have 50 billion hp on CM so the hp regen of vali won’t matter (until you give marines vali kelo/tram spear)
