Description of the incident:
It all started with being groundside evac taking place. The Queen and xenos were pushing into FOB, the cades were open, and I had been blaring the launch alarm for at least 1 min. When the Queen was right outside, I performed a lockdown on the dropship to keep them out and the marines that were inside safe. This was moments before the CO had personally ordered me to launch.
Despite this, when I returned shipside, I was accosted by Chen and told I was under arrest. I’ll admit to escalating by firing a weapon, but they had a weapon in their hand. As I was trying to get away, I couldn’t see exactly what kind of weapon they had, it looked like a pistol, but I didn’t see the disabler’s green light. So I opened fire to try and protect myself. Then they proceeded to fire their disabler, flash me multiple times, and beat me with their baton. While I escalated, even though I feel it was justified since I couldn’t see what weapon they had clearly, it was an unlawful arrest as I had performed my job correctly. I launched when commanded by CO and ensured the security of the dropship by performing a lockdown with the Queen right outside the ship.
In the process of being arrested, my character IC-ly said the MP was getting handsy. My character claimed they were being molested, per definition [pester or harass (someone) in an aggressive or persistent manner.], I was suitably justified as they were approaching me in a hostile manner to perform an unlawful arrest. Then I was taken to the Brig, stripped of my items, etc. Normal stuff.
However when Delta Alert happened, and I should have been released, it was only for a few moments. Chen commented about how he only did what he did because he only follows orders. My character commented on him being a ‘Good Monkey’. This was not racial in any way, despite the insistence from Chen to the contrary. I was then flashed and re-cuffed. My character is also black, which when my character pointed that out, comments were made between Henry Marshall and Chen that I was ‘lighter skinned’. They also referred to my female character as male. Now, that obviously falls into the territory of commentary on a person’s skin colour. Throughout the Delta Alert, I was forcefully kept in handcuffs through usage of the baton, flasher, and pepperspray. I was unable to play to my defense in any way during the Hijack phase of the game. Just a further continuation of the MP powertripping and griefing me.
