Paisley Park
Their BYOND key:
Vending Machine
What are you reporting?:
Enforcement Action Taken
Description of the incident:
I wake up as Cargo Tech, intending to do my job. Shortly after, the QM drinks themself to death and I have to run 2 Req lines. I let in a Corpsman to revive and handle the QM, but then additional marines come flooding in and pushing/shoving me. They started demanding a second mortar to be purchased. This happened, again, while I was handling two lines at Req. Then when I get a moment I find that a window and wall were destroyed in Req. I called over ship comms that I wanted the wall fixed or I wasn’t sending supplies. I then experienced further threats and hostility towards myself, specifically RFN Vance Endsley. The didn’t get replaced for about an hour. In that time I was charged with various charges. Vending Machine Noted me for griefing, but when I pointed out what actions were being directed towards me, they just said that that was in-character actions and to handle it IC. So being pushed, shoved, threatened with violence is apparently just an in-character issue and me refusing to supply marines threatening me is griefing, among other things. This is very messed up and I’m being treated as the worse person despite being the original victim.
Hello I was the CMP who arrested them. Park refused to do their job and had half the marine force angry at them due to the front running dry on supplies. Park nearly killed the entire marine force over a broken window. They refused orders from the Major, CE, and other officers to do their job, ASO and SO took over after they got arrested.
On a totally different note they said they received inhumane treatment by being denied food in the brig. Just leaving this here in case it’s looked at
As evidenced by Park’s imgur album, I was the XO this round.
I preface this by saying that, without a doubt, this was one of the worst rounds for Req I have ever witnessed. The facts as generally laid out by Parker and @Sandvich123 are true. The CT and QM’s conduct meant that, by about 15 minutes after the drop, I was receiving a call from the Alamo that FOB supplies had still not been sent. In addition, both the CT and QM’s antics meant one of my SOs and the ASO had to run req, and the CO and CMP spent most of their round dealing with the CT and QM. This was not an instance of quality roleplay taking precedent over winning, this was a case of someone going off the wall and making the round worse for others, while also affecting their gameplay. There is no doubt that the enforcement action taken by vendingmachine was proper.
Hi, I’m Vance Endsley, the marine who threatened to shoot you, but never did
Ultimately you hid ammunition in a corner of the requisition room, closed your shutters, and refused to DO ANYTHING relating to your role, my threats were empty threats, not only did I not have the ammo or will to actually kill you, I hoped my threats would actually push you to send the desperately needed ammunition and metals to FOB, which never came until I and officers from CIC had to leave their post and work requisition. Ammunition never got to FOB until AFTER your arrest, and noone bothered to save FOB coords, because they assumed requisition would never come, which delayed it even further. Its in my honest opinion you griefed, ignoring the fact that anybody with any experience in armed forces knows that even if you get harassed or shittalked, you STILL have to do your job, which you failed to do, and avoided doing all the way to round end. I was in req the entire round, even after you left Brig, you spent your time submitting a current-round report instead of helping req, which by this point FOB was already falling.
I do, genuinely, not like the fact I threatened you, and older staff members can confirm in 2020-2023, I was a menace, and I’ve done a lot to work on my anger issues and calm down as a person, medication is helping that, so take this as my apology OOCly, as I do seem to have upset you in your ahelps.
Speaking from the Bravo combat tech perspective, before deployment I was able to scrap 4 stacks of metal and whatever metal Bravo SL had on hand, we were able to make only 1 cade line around FOB which is inadequate for expectations of Bravo. It was only through the mats of other combat techs and almost the entirety of Bravo helping in the deconning of materials we were able to make a proper FOB. Had it been any other Combat tech with the expectation of FOB drop to get some of their metal, the FOB retreat would have turned into an evac because there wouldn’t be enough time to decon before the retreat.
Paisley’s response to the situation was completely improper, they took the threat of one Marine who had only came there to yell due to how dire the situation is ground side as well as the damage of a window and wall and took that anger out on the entirety of the marine force groundside. Paisley could have gone to MPs to discuss the incident of the broken window and walls, instead she with held supplies to FOB. In last round chat, specifically in 31751 thread where the incident happened, her reasoning for not sending the supplies was that she wanted walls to be fixed and an apology, which while fair. Does nothing to that marine and harmed everyone else in the cross fire. This is in violation of rule 8 which it specifically states cargo techs being a medium risk role that will be punished for not fulfilling the role.
your appeal was never ignored which I explained to you in round as you insulted me. You also ahelped trying to get me oocly in trouble for the appeal (and lied in the ahelp saying I never handled it) which again was never ignored and was even faxed to the provost but hijack happened. You never requested food until your timer ended and started accusing me of treating you inhumanly which I think is really funny cause of the photo above when the food cart arrived. Everyone was extremely patient with you and you had multiple chances to play the role you decided to play.
I’d like to add this is not the first time Park has lied to try to get players in trouble OOCly as seen per this PR Paisley Park - Player Report: Nasoki Chen, Malicious Compliance / Unlawful arrest - #2 by Sandvich123 where I was also involved. You know where you tried to lie I molested you to get me in trouble so you could get out of an in game charge (which I was not comfortable with at all being accused of SA someone, nor still am and frankly I’m surprised you weren’t banned for it.)
The reason I bring this up to point out Parks behavior is a trend, and seems to be abusing OOC rules in weak attempts to get their way. They are not RP driven, they are not adding “RP” conflict to the round. They’re just a negative addition to the round that usually results in having to answer ahelps.
To add to Sandvich’s point, when the hijack occurred, they were dealing with Park’s third appeal and had told command the Provost was being faxed. Ironically, because the FOB was very late in being supplied, it fell quite quickly meaning we had to do hijack instead of being able to continue with Park’s legal proccess.
I don’t have to ask for food and water. That’s just a prisoner right. You are supposed to supply it.
You also denied me access to the Yard, despite me not resisting the arrest at all. You also didn’t let me go when you are supposed to because more than 5 mins passed since I returned the appeal. That’s kind of the rule.
As for third appeal, no, I never got my first one processed correctly.
Your yard right was denied to multiple passive aggressive comments that I did not know ML. This fell under DASO which is why the yard was not supplied. I did not charge you with the crime as frankly I did not want to interact with you anymore. I had already warned you to stop being passive aggressive the first second I arrested you. You also bought up the yard after you were released, the same as the food in an attempt to “gotch’ya”.
If you could find the ML version where it says food and water are to be given at once that would be great. (Not to mention you requested it after, at no point did I deny you food or water).
You took a while with the appeal and I found someone within 1-2 minutes to handle it (as per ahelp logs will show, cause you also ahelped me on this and I had to answer). You can not take four minutes with the appeal then say I broke appeal procedures when I take a minute to find someone. It is pretty funny I took a lil while in finding someone to handle your appeal, as nearly every officer had ordered your arrest.
You were never consulted on the appeal, as what you wrote in the appeal were your words as I explained to you in game. It was faxed to the provost. To the Appeal being handled incorrectly, you are 100% right, but not in the way you think. The MP (it was also their first appeal ever) assigned to it never informed me no one had written anything under the department representee area and granted it (I could not handle the appeal nor “order it to be fixed” due to ML provisions and hijack was about to happen). due to only your statement being present (which was also filled with false statements) I faxed the provost of the appeal decision and that it would need fixing. While it was done incorrectly due to someone new, I could not over turn it. You were also informed of the decision right infront of you by the MP handling your appeal.
Make a player report on me if you wish, but this Staff Report concerns you and grieifing, not the details of your arrest. I am simply providing evidence that you were griefing and have lied. As such unless staff ask there’s nothing left for me to add.
I concur with the action taken by VendingMachine. Being threatened with violence is generally an IC issue so long as escalation rules are followed correctly.
You refusing to do your job, particularly in regards to refusing and/or hiding marine supplies, is griefing.
I strongly suggest you take some time to review the rules and the general community expectations. You’re not on a path you want to stay on.
