Hi, I’m finally making my proper appeal now that six months have passed. I’ll get into it below
I won’t get into a long-winded discussion trying to disprove this, as I don’t have clear evidence to fully support my case. My impulsive, panicked choices at the time didn’t make things any easier. My actions in-game ultimately resulted in a metagaming and multikeying ban.
As a survivor, I died on CC due to mistakes on both my part and the other survivor’s. I ended up orbiting them as they tried to rush reactors, complaining in deadchat. The two survivors who were there split up—one died, and the other, who was the CC scout, cloaked and left reactors through the eastern entrance. Before the scout even left reactors, I bursted, waited next to the Queen in reactors to evolve, and resumed the round playing as a xeno.
Being new to the role, I was fumbling around trying to figure out keybinds. My plan was to fortify east reactors with resin and then loop around to sensors doing the same. As I was leaving east reactors, I saw the scout cloaked and hiding through wall thermals. The only reason I was able to see them was because my xeno NVGs were capped, and my gamma and brightness were maxed out, which allowed me to see them through xeno thermals. This is something many xeno players use, and it was the only reason I saw the scout. Unfortunately, I lacked the forethought to screenshot or record the moment. I didn’t have recording software installed, and I was too absentminded to take a screenshot.
I called out their position over hive mind, and the other xeno players killed the scout. Afterwards, I was contacted by the mod mentioned, and we discussed my actions over the course of the round. Leading into a permanent ban, and an attempted QC ban. After thinking about it for a long time, I don’t fault him for his decision or thought process. From an outside perspective, it looked bad, and as mentioned before, I didn’t have any hard proof to support my claim—only that I saw them due to my gamma and brightness settings. I don’t believe I even mentioned that I saw them through xeno thermals, which was another major mistake on my part.
Regarding the multikeying issue, I understand the ramifications of that. I did not intend to use it maliciously to bypass the permanent ban, but rather to obtain a copy of the round logs, as I wasn’t able to before being banned. I understand that I could have simply made a support ticket on Discord, but at the time, in my mental state, I was unaware that was an option. The logic behind making another account came from someone who was panicking, believing they would be blacklisted from both the server and Discord within the hour over a mistake they didn’t fully understand the ramifications of. I accept responsibility for the rule breaks. Both my actions before and after the ban were in extremely poor taste. However, I do not have any prior history with multikeying, and my intention was not to evade the ban.

I understand I don’t have solid evidence to fully support myself. Ultimately, this is on me for being naive in my actions and for not recording my spotting of the scout in-game, as that would have made the situation clearer. I accept any outcome that comes from this appeal and apologize to those who were involved. Lessons were learned, and mistakes like this won’t be made again. I would simply like the opportunity to play again with the friends I made in this game again.
