Description of the incident:

I was a SL on a lifeboat and amarine was shooting up the lifeboat and I gave him several warnings and detained them with zipcuffs and got them to a seat multiple times, when they kept breaking out and running around I gave them a final warning that if they broke out we would execute them, 2 other marines assisted in this execution.

Personal Note

Before these logs, there was a bunch of disarming and at some point Harry Stone broke a bottle on the Reporting Player before hurting themselves and eventually getting handcuffed. I’ve deemed this irrelevant as the EORG rule revolves around FF logs after round end.

I apologize for the severe delay. In the absence of the Moderator Manager, I will be handlined this staff report.

Below is the provided rule for which you were banned:

End of Round Grief (EORG)

  • End of Round Grief (EORG) is fighting and generating combat logs with friendly players after the round ends and may yield an immediate 3-hour ban without warning. Exceptions are between normal enemies, such as Marines and Aliens, Marines and UPP, etc.
    • This includes suicide at the end of the round without a valid RP reason.
    • Trying to bait someone into EORG or deliberately walking into bullets to try and get someone else EORG banned will result in you being punished instead.

While there may have been sufficient roleplay justification for your actions, End of Round Grief bans do not necessarily factor extenuating circumstances, escalation, or other forms of roleplay interactions. When you generate combat logs against members of a friendly faction and while not engaged in combat with enemy factions, you run the risk of receiving an End of Round Grief ban. Thus, NessiePendragon’s enforcement of our End of Round Griefing rules are in accordance with the rule’s letter and spirit.

If you are EORG banned and you feel you had sufficient roleplay justification for your aggression against a member of your faction, or otherwise feel the End of Round Grief ban was misplaced, your immediate recourse is to reach out to the banning staff member to make your case known. However, the banning staff member retains the agency to accept or reject that justification. It is recommended that you abstain from post-round combat entirely. unless you are engaging a hostile faction.
