Synthetic Info:
Name of the Synth Character you wish to play:
Elliot
What is your Synthetic’s Personality?
Elliot’s limited line of synthetics was specifically designed for USCM to teach and help dropship pilots in harsh weather conditions and aerospace. Elliot is a flight instructor. He’s respectful and tries to bond with the crew as much as possible, not only providing different advices, but also cheering them up or at least trying in his cold manner. He will always warn about climate changes and how to withstand them depending on the conditions and the situation.
Elliot is disciplined and calm on the surface, but in private he’s like your good old friend - he will always ask how life has been. In dialogues he usually uses different idioms related to flying. Elliot’s main goal is not only to teach and mentor, but also to prevent accidents from happening or lower their chances.
How will they react to the different ranks of the USCM, what would they talk about in a one on one conversation? What are their interests? What is an advertisement logline that could be written for them?
Elliot uses a more casual approach in dialogues with enlisted personnel, calling them by their names or nicknames. He treats them as pals, buddies, or just old friends he knew for a long time. While holding a conversation, he uses idioms and phrases related to flying. He can talk about a variety of different things from weather to schematics. He’ll try to give advice or teach you something new. It really depends on the context and the situation he’s in. Even if a marine doesn’t want any advice, he’ll always find a way to construct a dialogue in a friendly and calm manner.
In conversations with officers he’s more disciplined and calls them by their respectful ranks, but he has an odd habit of calling the XO/CO a “Skipper”.
Elliot is advertised as a trusted and reliable model, and the most fitting phrase would be
"Fly high with Elliot!”
Why do you want to be a synthetic/why should we whitelist you?
Honestly, I love the idea of synthetics and wanted to apply for a very long time, slowly developing my support skills and overall improving in the game. I think I succeeded in it. Synthetic for me is an opportunity for unique RP and interactions first and foremost and only then a mix of different support gameplay loops that I absolutely adore
What is your most memorable interaction with a synthetic?
I had many great interactions with synthetics, but the most memorable would be with Finn. It was on “new” Corsat several months ago. I was scouting the station as a simple rifleman around the FOB. Suddenly I saw a figure fully covered in black, completely standing still and staring at me. I tried to come closer, but they disappeared in the darkness. Eventually I got captured and brought to the hive. To my surprise, I heard a voice and asked if someone heard me. Then that exact same figure turned on the lights, standing right in front of me. It was Finn. I’m not going to dive into the dialogue details (because I actually don’t remember what we were talking about), but the situation itself was great.
Synthetic Character Story:
Skills:
Engineering:
I’m familiar and very confident in my engineering abilities. I can easily repair/replace APCs, fix communications/sensor towers, build/deconstruct machinery and walls. I know cade theory well, having no trouble making cades on the fly and not spending all the resources on a single cadeline. When building the FOB, I don’t focus on one side, but fortify the perimeter first and only then build additional cades. I can turn one weak cadeline into multiple strong ones, building separate sections.
Command:
I’m competent enough and know how to modify IDs, set red alert, call evacuation, send supply pads and so on. (please don’t look at my 200 XO hours)
Medical:
Very familiar with both shipside and groundside medical. I know how to heal marines efficiently and spend minimal amounts of time to revive them, also having no problems reviving high-damage patients as well. I’m good at prioritizing who to heal first if I’m surrounded by multiple bodies and can multitask healing two at a time if needed. Regarding the shipside doctor. I know how to make all the chems and perform surgeries by muscle memory. Also, I know ghetto surgery and what certain steps to skip - for example, double retract a broken chest, or use a saw on blue intent to instantly break a ribcage if a marine is close to bursting.
Requisitions:
Despite being my least played support role, I’m familiar with it. I know every item abbreviation in the vendor, and I can quickly serve the req line if needed. I know how and what to send to FOB/Frontline and can run the department alone if required.
What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example.
Basically a synthetic should not be engaging in direct combat unless it’s self preservation of yourself or others
On the frontline you’re not allowed to engage enemies, and better let marines handle it. You should be focusing on assisting and keeping marines alive first and foremost. If you see a xenomorph dragging a marine to their fortifications, you’re not allowed to engage in combat with them due to self preservation.
In the backlines you are allowed to attack a threat to protect marines if they can’t themselves, but the main goal should be to disengage and carry the wounded back to safety. For example I’m traveling from FOB to a key location. Midway I see a marine getting tackled and dragged away by a xenomorph. I’ll try to shake the marine first. If the marine is wounded and can’t fight back I can engage the xenomorph and force them to disengage and carry the marine back to safety. I’m not allowed to chase the xenomorph if it’s running away.
Synthetics are shackled by marine law and are not allowed to harm marines or any allies. If a synthetic gets assaulted by a marine, they can disarm them only by non lethal means.
If I’m being engaged by a hostile faction such as CLF/UPP marines law doesn’t apply to them and I’m allowed to fight back and kill the hostiles if necessary, but self preservation still comes first, and I’m not allowed to actively seek combat.
During the delta alert combat restrictions are lifted, but ensuring marines’ safety and performing your duties still should be a top priority. So, combat is something synthetics do if there are no other options left.
