Every round, 20% of marines, 10% of shipside staff, and 50% of survivors are given details (roundstart flavortext & in their Notes/Memory) of varying levels of precision/accuracy re: Predators.
This can include what they might call Predators (maicers, dreadlocks, hunters, mutants, predators, Jamaicans etc.), details re pred weapons/armor/abilities, and specifics of pred behavior (like vague understandings of Honor Code).
It will be flavored in a way that gives these players a reasonable backstory re: how they know the info, i.e did they hear about it, did they encounter a pred, etc.
–all completely random.
This will not fix the pred roleplay situation, but I think it’s a step in the right direction and opens up more roleplay opportunities as a certain % of players that preds engage with WILL have some knowledge and the roleplay scenarios thus get some variety.
Players can choose to completely ignore it if they want though. Which is fine.
