Predator The Prey-ifying (Code Bounty 30ish usd)

Predators currently have a shield which is quite shit really, and the aesthetic of it only works with extremely specific drip.

In Prey the predator has this really fucking nice shield that folds out (doesn’t need an animation just a sprite for it)

So what would need to be done is nothing other than making it a bracer attachment with a new sprite and updating the pred vendors in the bracer attachment area of them. If the Pred council wants any balance changes done to the shield they’ll respond on the PR I’m sure

Payable thru paypal or w/e upon the PR being in a finished or close to finished state

EDIT: in my opinion balance wise it should have no passive block unless you raise it and take a big movement speed malus as an offset and not immediately lower after blocking a single bullet

Edit 2: other balance idea could be the shield burns battery charge from the bracer while it’s actively raised or each time it blocks things which means that combined with edit 1 the marine or xeno tactic could be baiting the pred with the shield to deploy it when it isn’t needed and get some distance to waste their bracer charge

30 dollars? Personally, I pay my coders 30+ minimum for features on easier codebases. Make it 45$, plus tip. Don’t put us paypigs to shame.

Tipping is not in australian culture, they can simply ask for a reasonable price for their work and the difficulty of it and it is adjusted. The 30ish is just a ballpark because the code is pretty simple and the only hard part is making a sprite

Still wouldnt even be the easiest code bounty.
I remember one for 100 that was litterally just pressing the revert button.

But your rigth, it is not that hard. For vendors alone its just adding an item to a list.
And Bracer code apperently is sutpidly modular and made for this kinda stuff.
So why dont you give it a try yourself?
Seems like you care for it, so you migth have the best ideas how to implement it.
Thats how the best PR’s come about after all.

I think you fail to understand the point of paying someone else to do something.

Either way, the price as I said is negotiable. Nor is this the first time I’ve made a thread like this.

See, here’s the trick. You tippem up front, slide it into their hands, if they have any sense they’ll smile and do an extra good job, then you pay them too. People love getting tips for their work, especially when they don’t expect it.

And you fail to understand why i would try to motivate someone to try coding.

The numbers must grow.
