prologue colony invasion game mode

Ever contemplated the enigmatic life of a colonist, blissfully immersed in the thriving expanse of a burgeoning colony, unaware of the impending cataclysm that is the Xenomorph invasion?

Picture an immersive game mode where each participant steps into the worn boots of a colonist, experiencing the spine-chilling moment of first contact with the cosmic horrors known as Xenomorphs. As dawn breaks on this dire day, the meager arsenal of weaponry and limited ammunition sends shivers down the spines of all involved. In this chilling scenario, clandestine factions, including the shadowy CLF, enigmatic UPP agents, and the menacing Predators, have infiltrated the colony’s core, each driven by their ulterior motives—whether it’s dominion over the colony’s fate or the sinister art of conversion.

Amidst this tumultuous storm, the colonists must cling to their humanity, banding together to survive until their distress beacon pierces the cosmic void, eliciting a response from the faction that secures supremacy. But survival is far from guaranteed. Colonists must master the art of negotiation, diplomacy, and trade within the colony, nurturing its vital cargo system and garnering points to procure coveted weaponry from an underground marketplace, reminiscent of the clandestine ASRS black market.

On the other side of the cosmic abyss, the Xenomorphs begin their relentless pursuit with a meager force—just a formidable queen and her loyal drones. However, as they capture unsuspecting colonists, they evolve, unlocking diverse castes and nightmarish tiers of Xenomorphs. The colony becomes a living, breathing organism of horror, with each passing moment offering new, spine-tingling surprises.

Unravel the mysteries of the cosmos in this heart-pounding, high-stakes battle for survival. Can you adapt to the ever-shifting tides of this cosmic thriller and secure your fate amidst the stars, or will you succumb to the enigmatic forces that lurk in the shadows, ready to claim your very soul?

In all seriousness, this sounds like a freaking amazing game mode. Kinda reminds me of DS13 (I didn’t play it, but I assume this is what it was like). If this stuff ever gets coded in, you bet your ass I’m dropping my first-born to play that shit ASAP.

(Also, I’m so sorry to the dude I accidentally locked out of the chat. I didn’t realize slowmode was on.)

This game mode sucks, it’s already been run as an event. The knowers will get all the equipment and new players get nothing.

That’s because people did not get roles, and if there is an actual working cargo you could sell items to acquire equipment. And there can be an actual command structure with announcements to coordinate the colonists.

Realistically in that situation there really would be none. So yes there would be a government but they would not know what the hell to do
