Mostly a CM thing. But shared by a handful of other, large servers. I guess when you’ve gotten plenty comfortable, development-wise, you start searching for really mundane things to raise hell over.

If I am walking through the jungle and see a man with skulls on his belt with spears and a gun, my first thought is not it must be the annual archaeologists fanclub outing.
Its that im about to become very dead unless I leave.
Hunters, or predators, in my mind is a fairly logical thing to call them first encounter.

Honestly, I think “hunters” is kind of a shit name, too, but like— think about the average marine. Someone said this earlier, but they’d call them some derogatory name or something, not a scientific adjective like “predator.” Sure as shit, I wouldn’t label myself as “prey.”

Predator is for me personally a stretch im more likely to call them hunters.
I can see people trying to sound more formal for record keeping calling them predators.

They have spears, skulls, and armor. That’s about it in terms of what’s human-like. Guns are hardly used. There’s only one jungle map
