Won’t go into much detail here but I feel like the Xeno queen should have more ways to punish disobdience in their hive ICly than just “Banish” and call it a day.
The Punishment in question I want xeno queen’s to have the right to use is the right to force De-evolve xenos over disobidence.
The Queen can de-evolve someone if they want to add a certain caste, however, it must make sense in character - only having one type of T3 would not fulfil this criteria.
The Queen may not force xenos into a specific caste or strain, and cannot banish them if they refuse.
Following said rulings a xeno queen cannot force de-evolve t3s/t2s down to their respective lower role, even if they are constantly disobeying the queen.
Of course to ensure this is not abused to have meta buddies take t3s/t2s. The queen must have enough “proof” on their end to justify the de-evolve. Such as giving the player in question enough time to respond and enough ‘Pings/Notifications’ incase they are in mid combat and miss it. Can’t just be “Well they didnt obey immediately, time to de-evolve”
The main reason I’m having a problem with this is sometimes you have a t3/t2 that just does not listen to orders and constantly doing their own thing which some times helps the hive in a whole but other times hampers it when the queen is trying to lead from ovi. Allowing queen’s to de-evolve their t3s/t2s would promote further obedience within the hive if you plan on taking a higher up role. (Same thing as SLs/RTOs if you want to do it you gotta be ready to follow what the faction leader has in store)
If power tripping and shit is too common, then make the standards for queen higher. You can’t justify not adding something useful, since shitters exist.
If a Tier 3 xenomorph is refusing to listen to a Queen’s instructions, banish them. They’ll either obey your orders and you can reintegrate them, or they will die. You can also send an ahelp to action them as it may constitute a rules breach depending on the circumstances.
The rules regarding the Queen and de-evolving/evolving were changed somewhat recently (weeks or a month ago).

So, under the current rules a Queen would be well within her rights to de-evolve a Tier 3 to make room for another kind of Tier 3, so long as she can at least justify why she is doing it (which would be an easy argument to make, since Boilers are the premier siege caste)
(Personally, I’d almost wish you could force change a T3 player from one caste to another instead of depriving them of a T3 slot, due to how sought after they are, but that is a balance issue, not a administrative one).
However, the wording is such you can’t force someone into a caste, which would also infer going backwards that you can’t de-evolve someone outside of doing it for a specific strategy. So, you can’t de-evolve a T3 just because they disobeyed an order, though you can banish them for disobeying you.
Maybe let the queen cast a vote to deevolve someone being a problem? Kinda like how king gets a vote that way the whole hive had a say and queen wont be able to just abuse it as easily as click and instant deevolve?
Shouldn’t this be extended to banishing too, if it’s implemented? I think it would be very strange to have a low-tier punishment be multilateral yet the high-tier punishment be unilateral. I mean, if a queen is being a shitter, what’s stopping them from escalating straight to banishment if the hive votes against the deevo?
