So, when I first started CM13 years ago, I remember there was this one medical item called “quikclot”, If I can remember, it basically made fixing IB easier, and fixed some bleeding too. So, what the hell happened to it? I know I’m not being gaslit because I USED it before, but I’d like to know WHY it’s gone or when it got removed.
It got axed in the many medical reworks.
Quick clot was a thing back then it stopped you losing blood from IB but didn’t fix it, the easiest way to fix IB back when was a bicaridine OD
I remember that, bicar OD’s were basically everywhere. Now theres fix-o-vein and the surgery kit the corpsmen have.
There is no such thing as QuikClot. You are gaslighting yourself.
basically for some reason during development it was decided that not dropping dead after an attack wasnt fun for gameplay (marine side) so anything related to medical was completely obliterated, to go down the list, ez injectors, peri, quick clot (removed entirely), bic ODs, bone gel, surgery speeds, groundside surgery, burst times (from like 12 minutes to 6 nested lmao), effects of being hugged, heart damage effects (lowers max blood), medical storage as a rifleman, pill bottles, refilling anything, iron sugar pills and IB causes
All of this is unnoticeable by xeno players (except maybe hugged stuff but if they arent nested you dont deserve the cap anyway??) and yet insisted on being continually nerfed, literally the biggest turn off for playing marine nowadays, you get into 1 fight and you need to reserve the next 30 minutes fixing it
Literally never once have i thought as xeno “damn i could have won that fight if they didnt get surgery since the last time i saw them” or “i think its really unfair they can start healing like 3 brute damage every tick over 5 minutes with an EZ injector rather than standing still.”
everyone acts like the moment a rifleman can care for himself the corpsman becomes utterly useless despite having way more supplies than a rifleman could dream of carrying ontop of the whole being able to revive the dead
now you just get to be miserable looking for a corpsman because you spent the last of your meds trying to fix a paper cut causing you to drop to 20% blood over 1 minute 30 seconds
didnt even plan writing all this, shit sucks, boring asf and pmo
Oh it still exists. it’s just that people don’t have time or rather. the skill to make it.
to make budget QC which you can do every round you need
60 frost oil
60 Cryoxadone
bottle it inside a pill x16
bam you have QC.
it works if you are wearing armour. anything that makes you feel the temperature longer. excluding external webbing
Research if they get the property of HSC (hemostatic). they can make a proper QC
EDIT: one of the problems with QC is because
- it’s ready as early as when you’re about to deploy
- when you type QC. HMs and doctors mind go:
and ignore it completely
3.no doctor is willing to learn or make QC because hard coded heads
wait really? damn guess i got some thing do with all my frost peppers now.
suffering = fun
having fun = not fun
