As the end of the round happened, people were making ridiculous mentions of Yautja and racism and oppression. Thinking their jokes to be humorous on some degree, I also chimed in. But this is about my own ban, not whether half a dozen other people deserve one as well.
Now, I’m aware that actually calling people slurs would be bad. I bear no ill will to any of the races in any case. The theme of the original word differential, however, is one of language and not of insult. As one way of spelling is considered softened, I added an R to the Yautja name to harden it, to make myself seem as an alien bigot despite the predators being my favourite part of the universe entirely, and one of my ultimate gameplay goals. In no way was I alluding to any real racism. It’s entirely possible I got carried away, however as far as I see it this seems excessive and feels like an overreach; a fishing ban. The messages sent to me made it seem like a warning to stop right then and there, and while I was in the middle of typing a reply I was banned and disconnected.
The wiki page also goes into explaining the exact concept of how using the R is more offensive than using the A, which was my attempted concept use here. Not the actual racist word. Because that would clearly be wrong on top of being against the rules. The argument against me was also entirely an association fallacy. “x = y = z and z is close enough to being racist so you’re banned for being racist.”
