Recoil Compensator: Why?

Any attachment that nerfs damage is instantly ‘Trash’ tier, does literally anyone use this attachment? Sure, it might look cool on the 2 gun’s that can use it but that’s it.

inb4 some insane man comes in and tells me they use it all the time on their niche setup that is likely inferior to a m41a mk2

recoil compensator is used for recoil compensation. like people wielding a shotgun with one hand because they suck at the game and can’t press Z to wield it properly with two hands

True, but then you lose a huge chunk of your damage. Same with any other gun. Literally trash tier, can we remove the damage malus?

Best part is, is that it doesn’t even decrease scatter. It just increases accuracy by 20%.

Its single possible use that would make the trade slightly worth it and it’s just a misconception by newer folk

Also this isn’t the only attatchment that’s like this. A lot of our attatchements havenr had their stats touched for ~3 years.

Reddot is just a slightly downgraded reflex with a (debatably) better sprite (you lose the -1 scatter of reflex in exchange for 5% more accuracy)

I use it when I am drunk enough to use the SMG because it looks pretty cool. The SMG has like no damage anyways, so the compensator has basically no effect.

Part of my loadout as an IO so I can one hand the shotgun, I was not aware of the damage debuff tho

I like it for slug shotgun so I can pop woyers and lurkers from long range

I use it on a buckshot shotgun with a gyro and reflex because in the past it’s been able to land enough shots to stun out to two tiles before. I haven’t noticed it recently and I’m probably gonna stop running it though.
