Like the tin says. Maybe color code it so you can tell different speakers but as it stands 90% of any message play is the time stamp and who speaks.
This should be an opt-in feature at most, not a mandatory overhaul. Your font size is huge, hence even a few words take up significant space. Most people use the default font size, where time and the speaker make up a relatively small fraction.

The ‘overhead’ text(my font is perfection); sometimes when making a bar I record myself saying a song and play it back over the recorder so the lyrics pop up overhead like a radio.
Ah I see, my bad. I misunderstood- Yeah, I have to agree that timestamp and character names for overhead chat is just plain wonky.
