Resercher role adjustment

Sorta like how the PO roles were split to GP and DP, I was wondering if we could adjust 3 researchers slot to 1 researcher and 2 research assistants. Functionality they will not have any difference in skills, but the researcher would have a final say similar to a CMO in the research department (would still be under the CMO).

The reason for this proposal was when I played reseacher, there were situations in which I would be the only researcher awake trying to get samples from plants and vials. Then during the middle of the match another researcher would wake up and there would be a fight on who would get the opportunity to come up with and synthesize the stim. I am curious if other people who play researcher encounter this issue and I think this change would provide more clear and consistent outcomes.

I’ve had the same experience. Kinda annoying. Was what made me stop going researcher even though I love the role. 1hr into the round and another researcher takes the driver’s seat from under me.

Just give the Researchers BE skills and a mateba, the last researcher that remains after the research credits are stacked will be the god-chosen one to design the stim.

If you didn’t save every single point for one drug this wouldn’t be so much of an issue

Hard no my guy. If you cant co-operate with other researchers, the solution isnt to make rules to win the argument against em.

RnD should be divorced from Medbay rule, be it’s own department with a researcher who is in charge and two assistants who should be more of a learning role and subservient to the researcher in question. And they should be part of WY not USCM, because why did USCM station 3 research officers on a rundown transport ship and equipped them with top of the state research facility, some kind of lore consistency here please.

Tbf if any it should be like “the last ship” where a temporary lab were built due the researchers hitch hiking on the ship, and being watched by MPs.
