Revert the Acid protection on Heavy Armor

“but doesn’t protect any more than medium armor does against acid anymore.”

Now that we can properly specialize stuff for just HVH we should revert the change to acid protection back to being stronger as now it’s meant for HVH despite HVH using a diffrent set of values.

Agreed. Having an armor that has only advantages in HvH in HvX only servers as noob bait. Wich aint a good thing.

i thought that it also gives increased slash protection? or at least reduced fracture chance etc

Pulled from the code like a month ago, or a bit more.

EOD armor has 5 more slash armor and 5 more acid armor. Also unspecified tier higher in internal protection, no idea how this translates. So it is stronger.

In HvX it specialises against FF. You still get fucked if you get hit by any kind of AP, so B12 is objectively better, lacking only bomb and bullet protection in exchange for armor slot and medium armor speed. It has even better energy armor (pred shit I guess).

It does a bit, but its mainly balanced around HvH factors. Being able to handel some more FF doesnt really matter by how bullet dmg is balanced in HvX. Thats why armor and bullet dmg are changed for HvH, because the ttk is otherwise way to small.

In the end, its an armor with its main advantages being for HvH. And the stuff more fitting for HvX is only there as an afterthought basicly. Its balanced for HvH, notz HvX.

Did you change the desciption to fit the stats better? It currently states it doestn give any better bio protection.

Otherwise badass. Heavy armor being the go to armor for comtecs that are like “My faith is my shield” while they body block 3 xenos and repair the hole in the cadeline is a thing that we really need.

That is a buff alright, but the armor still is shit and it is still better to buy B12 and get other shit from your PFC vendor from req.
Still a noob bait to be honest.

And in HvH mode Heavy Armor has the same stats except more internal damage ressistance.

It was even planned to nerf Heavy Armor during HvH.

I think with heavy you can easly go overboard, give it massive acid and energy ressistance and it would still be mid at best. Feet are still uncovered, so acid spray would still do the same damage, but would be a big middle finger to certain prae strains and spitters.
