Rework things that remove bodies for roleplay

I would like to propose that we remove eggmorphers ability to destroy corpses and remove the ability for weeds to remove bodies.

As it is now, people pop and their bodys are egg morphered and that is that. It is like they were never in the round and they just stop existing. I think its bad for immersion and roleplay

I was discussing the old days with someone and one of the things brought up was how cool the old nests were when bodies didnt get removed… the horror the marines felt when they finally broke into the nest and found 30 dead marines… many they knew in the piles.

How over time you can see how much of a grindfest it is by seeing the bodies pile up. How captured marines would freak out because “all of charlie” is in here dead.

With the new wall nest mechanic I think it would be even more cool. Have the marines break down a door and just see walls of dead marines…

I think it would be an easy change. Just make morphers generate eggs passively. No one likes to load them anyways.

Good change, I wish weeds eating bodies was more visible and you could actually tell who was buried underneath though.

I also think it’s a shame that all the bodies don’t persist like they used to but I’m fairly certain all the mechanics that delete corpses from the map might be related to server load and minimising lag. I might be mistaken, but I know even deleting things as simple as blood spatters and other decals was done back in the day to keep rounds smooth, so I imagine removing corpses as well would help even more.

IMO I prefer the cleaner, simpler method we have now: though I think it’d be rad if only the dogtags were left so you could break an egg morpher or a body in the weeds and have a dog tag from the victim drop.

Maybe… but rounds no longer drag on quite as long as they used to.

Id like confirmation that this really does reduce lag.
