Description of the incident:
Opened up my game for the first time in the day to a permanent ban for “Rule 6: Metagaming”, as vague as it gets. Thats odd, last time I played was over 16 hours ago, I dont remember doing anything wrong and there sure wasn’t any admin contact in the handful of rounds I’d played the day prior, must’ve been a mistake. Headed over to the forum, made an appeal ( riquegameplays - Permanent Ban Appeal ) to try to get some clarification - as the automatic ban info card suggested doing - and instead got half of an answer: “using ghost knowledge to track a locker survivor”. Well that doesn’t help, I’ve only ever found 2 locker hiders, and both were recent. Then smellyhippie finally told me that it’d occured during a Shivas round, 29719. Oh hey that was the last round I played, let’s remember what happened in it:
Before the start of round 29719 I forgot to ready and, with no interesting marine roles available, went on to wait in the xeno queue. As one does, I spectated the survivors fighting off drones, killing quite a few (Wheeler burned like 4) and being entertaining, until the last two resorted to lockerhiding. Since I was still high in the queue, and the survivors were no longer doing anything interesting, I opened Instagram and left CM in the background, doing the last thing I asked it to do: orbiting a random survivor while waiting in queue. Fast forward 10ish minutes, I hear my larva, tab back in, evolve Runner to go around breaking equipment, as I’d done every other time; I believe I ran into one survivor wandering around in the open, we coordinated to capture them, and then shortly afterwards came the Queen’s orders to check lockers, so I did what I’d done every other round as runner I’ve ever been early to: finished breaking comms and power equipment, then started opening lockers from the top right, into the top left, to the bottom left, and finally the bottom right - pretty simple, standard search pattern. While searching in the bottom left - third map quadrant so far in my search - I found a survivor hiding in a locker. That was it. Searching three quarters of the map yielded me a survivor. I then died somewhat early, got too greedy while trying to backline the marines setting up power; got stuck around as a ghost for over half an hour waiting for another larva, but the queue wouldn’t budge. Left the round 10 minutes before it ended because of connection issues, and went to sleep.
Without even an attempt at communication, I believe the ban issued to me ( riquegameplays - Permanent Ban Appeal ) was applied after an improper and faulty investigation, only way after the incident and purely with the intent to try and fit someone within a rulebreak, despite there having been none.

The round lasted around 1hr (basing it off #last-round-chat times)
I am able to provide images if asked for them, last time I sent embed links within a post I was told not to.
Supposing the occurrence was at the last possible moment, limited by the circumstance cited within my appeal - the marines arriving - that being at worst 30 minutes into the round, the administrator had at minimum half an hour to contact me to resolve or discuss the issue, yet did not.
I have a minimal moderation record: one count of EORG and one count of climbing into the ASRS, both well over 6 months to a year ago; It is clearly not within my character to violate the in-game rules; It is also within my best interests to not violate them, as I have been intent on acquiring whitelists since the start of the year; it’d’ve been incredibly unwise of me to even attempt what the administrator claims I did.
Based on that, and the fact that the Queen had ordered us to search in lockers, it looks as if Smellyhippie seemingly jumped to their conclusion without factoring in anything other than a small selection of user activity logs, which when completely isolated from the whole of the round vaguely fit what some ided’er claimed I did; Which means the moderator also decided to ignore, or perhaps completely overlooked, the fact that that locker had been the 20th something one I’d opened, and was nowhere near the last one I checked.
In summary: Barebones reasoning, lack of proper investigation and no attempt at communication. No history of offenses that would suggest ill intent, yet severest punishment applied.
