Round ID:
24320
Your character name:
Hal ‘F’ Santiago
Their BYOND key:
NessiePendragon
What are you reporting?:
Violation of Event Protocols
Description of the incident:
I was fighting an CLF by the name of joshua power. When he was either close to dying and cuffed he somehow got ahealed and uncuffed causing me to lose the battle.
When I asked in end of round which admin ahealed joshua power and why I got no response.
I just want to know what exactly happend there and if an admin was involved who it was and why they did it.
If they are going to response in what essence is it is just a prank then I would like to see them punished for their actions.
As I believe this Aheal went against the spirit of the game.
Evidence:
Me talking to joshua after all is done.

Hey there, I am the staff involved here.
CLF survivor sent an ahelp and explained his situation and asked us if he could be hostile to USCM. Since we responded to his ticket a little late, he was in a bit of a difficult situation and was arrested by CMP. CLF only had a knife on his waist and wasn’t carrying any firearms. CMP had no shortage of equipment. In this case, I was hoping that CMP would be able to neutralize CLF again very easily, so I uncuffed him once to give the MPs something to do and as compensation for the late response to CLF’s ticket.

I have to ask. Why didn’t you inform me of this as we were already aware of the CLF and we legit took about 20 minutes to find him. Once I finally found him he stabbed me and combat started I found it strange as I have never seen an Admin heal someone in mid combat without freezing the other party or have atleast have the combat stop from both parties so we know something else is going on.
If only you would have informed both parties to stop the combat I would not have felt that I pretty much got backstabbed by the administration in that situation.
Thank you for your reply.

Well, first of all, I am really sorry that you had a bad experience which wasn’t my point at all.
I did not aheal the CLF during mid combat. CMP was fireman’s carrying the cuffed CLF, and talking to their radio, so it was pretty obvious that the combat ended. When it comes why I did not inform you; it wasn’t an administrative issue but a minor event, so I did not see the necessity to ahelp you, and we generally don’t pm players before we run minor events. Besides, considering your role in the game you weren’t supposed to know that CLF would uncuff himself, you didn’t ahelp to ask if it was an admin event or not anyways. There was nothing wrong with the CMP or the CLF’s actions per the Rules, so I didn’t asleep any of them, because as I’ve said, it was just a minor event that I wanted to run considering the circumstances of that moment and not an administrative issue. Apart from that, I wish I could have timed the event better, it would have been a more appropriate event if I had uncuffed CLF when he was brought to the Brig or at least when the CMP and the CLF left the maints, I will be more careful about this in the future, I apologise for this.
I believe I’ve answered your questions and my reasoning behind the event. That’s all I can provide at the moment, so I will wait for my Manager’s decision. Have a good day!

You are indeed correct in regard to the events.
The issue I have it was not the right time to start an mini-event when they are in custody without informing both parties so they know what is up and can start it on a somewhat fair ground (which in IC would make zero sense and I am aware off that).
I do accept your explanation and want this complaint become a learning moment on when to start events going forward.
Thank you again and also have a pleasant and good day NessiePendragon

After looking at the logs and the discussion, it appears Nessie has realized that it could have been better for the event to have happened at a different time. I will be approving this report and talking with Nessie about better timing on events.
