Runner needs to be balanced.

Runners currently dies literally randomly because of their low HP amount. I think runner give some of it’s speed for HP, it’s currently too fast for it’s own good anyway.

It’s called a runner, it’s supposed to run faster.
Runners die, but that’s because you can play a better version of it by becoming a t2 (lurker)
Runners have low HP because they’re fast and they can frac a limb in about 5 hits (from my own experience)

yeah, honestly runner is only caste I can really play, since it fits my playstyle perfect, I think I reached elder recently :))

If you want some tips for runner from me (a mature runner) I can give you some, just don’t expect them to be good:

Pounce from far away then slash 2 times, 1 if you’re low on HP (you shouldn’t be attacking while low on HP anyways)

Work with other xenos, maybe ask the queen to give a lurker or yourself backline leader.

If you don’t like base runner, acider exists.

I don’t think bonespur is worth it, due to its 10 second cooldown, but you can use it to blow up a welding tank if you’re lucky

Make sure to always be near weeds, run to another xeno fast if you’re on fire, don’t try to get it out by yourself unless it’s green flame.

If you see two marines, one having a shotgun, the other having a flamer, I don’t think it’s worth your time or life to engage

If you see two marines and ones carrying a shotgun and the others carrying a rifle, target the one with the shotgun, then run back, go for the shotgun again, again, until you crit/frac/scare them away

Runners have a hard time capping marines solo

for me I normally go for three or even for slashes depending on weapon and whatnot, aim foot, frac it, then aim other foot, also pretty sure bonespur slows muhreens down, oor gives shrap, useful for fast muhreens. also yeah always keep track of weeds, avoid flamers, shotguns, I myself dont work with other xenos tho either tbh, although smart

I go for hand so they can’t wield their weapon to use an underbarrel flamer or underbarrel shotgun, because flamers will get you if you’re alone most of the times

remove 50% of runner speed and give it 50-100 extra hp, rename it from runner to jogger

Oh for sure, I myself just enjoy slowing them so they cant follow if I do need to retreat, there is merit in both

also pretty sure if both feet are broken they actually fall over if they walk, random chance?

Yes I think they do randomly fall over sometimes if they walk on an unsplinted fracced foot

I sometimes aim head for those not wearing a helmet, like the time I gave a medic IB & a frac since they didn’t have a helmet in the backlines

Same round I fracced two peoples hands, outside of the FOB

heh I aim head for a decap tbh, always a chance, funny when it happens, all about the situation tho

I myself killed full health by fracturing both feet, I think they went pain crit but am unsure if it was from doing that in succession

Runner is fine as imo. Its a scout, it can backline and support the front or backline too. It can use vents got the extra vision, he a fast zeno with fast attack. He can solo cap if needed and drag marines to hive if also needed. All this and more its fair he weak when it comes to only having 230 base HP. Dont like runner? Play the acid runner and blow up for the hive!

I’ve seen a good amount of success with pounce into immediate fast disarm spams - but this is against solo marines of course

Runner is balanced imo, you must pay careful attention to the loadout of marines (Flamer, shotgun, MOU, Mk2 with UBS) as well as positioning (How close are you to water if you get set on fire, is there likely a marine that could intervene if you fight here?).

You’re able to solo cap anyone with only moderate risk if they don’t have a shotgun, if they do have a shotgun or a flamer then you’re effectively putting your life on the line for the cap.

In 1v2s if marines have a bad loadout (IO with slugs and a marine with MK2 no UBS), you can easily crit one and kill the other (especially if FF is a factor).
