Description of the incident:
I was playing as the survivor corporate liaison along with all of the other survs as corporate security since we rolled the corporate nightmare insert. We successfully survived and made it up to the Almayer, where we spoke with the liaison. I went to get food (IC) and went back to the liaisons office where I went to his room to change, and was promptly lit on fire by the CL and shot to death by him, my body then being hidden in the escape pod.
I had no chance to RP it, no leadup, and I was round removed instantly. I don’t really see how this can be an example of an acceptable event if its just “shoot this guy to death with no buildup lol”
Hello! I was the CL that round, I’m just going to go over what I was given in round.
Roughly ~5ish minutes from round start I get a fax from the colony requesting an SOS. I then inform the XO of the surviving corporates and the possible threat of XX-121s. About 2 minutes later I get an onscreen text saying, “ENSURE THE COLONY SURVIVORS DO NOT MAKE IT OUT ALIVE”. ICLY I played this off as a hidden transmission on my headset, but I never received a motive on why I needed to kill them. Then again my character, Harry McNair, is only a Jr. exe so I doubt Weyland would inform them the true motive on why they needed to die.
After all six of the survivors arrived in my office, I congratulated them and confiscated some weapons from their persons. I then swiftly single out the colony CL and burn him with a flamer he handed me. Roughly 7 minutes go by and I am bwoinked by Nessie on why I killed the colony CL which I replied, “Sera’s event made me do it”. I originally believe this event was under seraphines because he had joked about it before round start in OOC. I then failed to kill the remaining goons and the synth and was arrested for my murder of the colony CL.
I originally assumed OOCly that he wanted them dead because they faxed weyland yutani the company and my office for an S.O.S. which felt a little overboard for something ICly would make sense.

For reference, the Liasion was tasked with silencing you and your team after you faxed from the surface reporting on the outbreak as PMC survivors. You mainly got done for broadcasting implicit information regarding XX-121.
I was running my own event that round, it was not a joke. Said event was unrelated to the Frozen subplot. I am merely putting this here for clarification.
