Why would you like to join the CM-SS13 staff team?
I have a strong passion for CM and the aliens universe, I think we’re a small niche community that has one of the coolest settings out there that could be achieved. My passion is clearly represent in game when I speak about the setting, and I’ve always considered about joining staff to give back to the community that has given me so many years of enjoyment. I also think staff could do better in some areas with community engagement and how they’re perceived, and instead of just complaining, I’d rather join the team and try to improve it where I can. Saying that, staff has improved A LOT in recent years and why I’m so excited to even attempt an application now.
What makes you a great addition to Staff? (Experienced Tabletop DM, Aliens Lore Buff, Super Organized, etc.?)
Years of being in leadership in a military college and recently graduated (I’m not going to list off the jobs I had as there’s too many). The most notable was my time as a Cadet Company Commander in charge of the daily operation of 130 young cadets. This also meant be part of an honour tribunal staff, which is basically a real life moderator for when a cadet breaks our honour code. If serious enough UCMJ articles could be applied to cadets.
A clear understanding of ML, due to my dealing as CO I’ve had to become a lawyer in it. It’s also made me extremely patient and taught me how to handle people acting in bad within the MP department or people that were arrested.
My love and respect for the Aliens franchise and how well colonial marines has executed it. I seriously have a passion for this game, and I think most people see that when I’m in game.

In your opinion, what is the most important quality of a CM-SS13 staff member?
Some of the most important qualities are being able to remain neutral, even if you have favorites or people you dislike, and always remember you’re a volunteer meant to improve everyones round by maintaining the setting, and ensuring people who are acting at bad faith are warned to stop. Being easy to talk to while handling ahelps. Being an active part of the community you’re enforcing the rules on.
And always the golden rule, as corny as it is, treat others how you would want to be treated. If I was ahelping someone, I’d imagine how I’d wanted to be corrected on a situation.
Anything else you want to add?
It’s no secret my record isn’t spotless, but recently for months I’ve made strong attempts to improve as a player. I’m sure they’ll appear on this application and I’d be happy to answer any questions regarding them, but I’d like to say you are talking to a different player now than what’s reflected from past years.
