Stephen ‘Pops’ Lewis, Stephen ‘Gamemaster’ Lewis, Stephen ‘Grandpa’ Lewis, Stephen ‘Doc’ Lewis, Stephen ‘Wall’ Lewis, Stephen ‘Wisecrack’ Lewis
Are you 16 or older?
Yes
Timezone:
EST
On average, how many hours are you available to moderate in an average week?
30
Qualifications:
Do you have previous experience in game or community moderation?
Not much, except for a few discord servers.
Provide any links to any previous CM-SS13 whitelist, mentor or staff applications:
N/A
Have you ever been banned for more than 24 hours on CM-SS13?
Not as far as I’m aware of, unless for some reason I was at some point during like ~2 months of not playing. But I didn’t do anything as far as I know beforehand, so I believe I’m in the clear.
Can you actively engage and communicate with the team through Discord?
I can.
Final Details:
Why would you like to join the CM-SS13 staff team?
I’d be lying if part of the reason wasn’t Biolock’s constant harassment for me to apply, but other than that I think the community can only get better from here and wish to try and help make that better change.
What makes you a great addition to Staff? (Experienced Tabletop DM, Aliens Lore Buff, Super Organized, etc.?)
I’m a former Dungeonmaster for DND, haven’t done any new campaigns in a few months, but I can still worldbuild for events and prefer to look deeper into things to make sure I get it as accurate as I can.
In your opinion, what is the most important quality of a CM-SS13 staff member?
The ability to treat every situation as a neutral ground. Both sides of the story can matter in an incident, and someone seemingly guilty could, in reality, be the one who was in the right. Looking deeper into the situation instead of just looking at the surface of a problem and claiming one side is the one entirely in the wrong is either incompetence or negligience.
Anything else you want to add?
I do genuinely appreciate anyone who actually bothered reading this that didn’t have to, and I’ll be glad to see you nerds in-game.
When i saw the application i thought it was an error, instead it’s really Seraphilian.
Great Player to have around, good ML knowledge and good lore knowledge.
During my stay in this community i had the pleasure to see the trust that it’s given to this player.
Very friendly and ready to help all kind of player from new to veterans.
Good luck, and i am sure that you will made a great moderator!
Oh trust me I didn’t think I’d be making this app today either but with my semester done for summer break, I figured why not at last give into Biolock’s yelling.
Told my corporate loving character as the Liaison to fuck off and made him cry -1
But nah in all seriousness interacted with Stephen ‘Nickname’ Lewis plenty of times and they always had good roleplay. Seraphilian is a well known community member and I’m sure they care about the state of the server/community. I don’t see any reason not to +1.
Probably one of the most dedicated Squad Leaders and Executive Specialists on the server, I’ve been gone for a bit but I came back to say if Stephen Lewis doesn’t deserve Admin then nobody does.
Huge +1 from me and the Corpocord MY WEYLAND-YUTANI CORPORATE LAWYER HAS ADVISED ME NOT TO SPEAK ON THIS MATTER
This man is the Elvis Presley of Corporate Liaisons, an excellent person to talk with both in character and out of character, and an exceptionally fun individual to be around. I have zero doubt that he’d be a great mod, even though I wouldn’t wish moderating an SS13 server on anyone.
Whilst not a positive or a negative statement, I do believe it is worth stressing that taking on the role of a staff member for CM does, in some way, diminish the “magic” of the game and often lead to some people playing it less and observing the game more. This may bear consideration in your aspirations for applying if you enjoy playing the game a lot since you might come to lose out on direct playtime.
Also, stating you have 30 hours free to moderate is bordering on making playing CM a full-time job. Are you certain this is your intention or is this just a over-estimation?
