Hey Smiley, thanks for the questions! I appreciate that you took the time to write these up, I hope my answers are in line with what the whitelist is looking for.
Answer to question 1
Starting off with the first question, in this situation its important to remember that there is more than one way to skin your prey. While It would be within the bounds of the honor code to preform a quick and surgical strike on the CIC to recover the gear, I feel there are better options available. As a Yautja, my role is to provide and enhance the B, C, or even D plots of a given round’s story. Busting into the CIC and killing even some of the marines command staff would, in my opinion, have too significant of an effect on the round’s main story.
In this situation, I would first conciser what exactly is the item in question. As per the honor code, Yautja are not required to collect all gear items that make it shipside. If the item is of little to no value I may not even bother collecting it by force. That being said, If I do chose to go after the item I see 3 main ways of going about it.
First, and foremost, I may simply stalk my prey. While true hunting is forbidden shipside, I do not stop being a hunter. Waiting until the security of the CIC drops before preforming a quick, efficient strike to recover the item would keep to the spirit of the whitelist while still accomplishing the mission of full gear retrieval.
Second, I could find a lone shipside marine (an MP or the CL would be ideal due to their CIC access) and very politely inform them that if they fail to bring me the item, I will skin them and that feline in the room next door alive. Should they return with a hunting party of their own and without the item, I will deliver on my promise. This method would be my personal preference.
Third, if the item is of significant value or power (comms, clan mask, plasma weaponry, etc) I could breach the CIC from the armory wall, and slowly skirmish my way in, doing as little damage as possible to ensure the item is secured. My goal here would NOT to be to kill everyone and take it, but to secure the item as fast as possible. Given the dishonorable status of gear defenders, I would likely use stun weaponry to run in and grab the item/holder, then get out as soon as possible.
TLDR: Yautja possess a unique ability to RP without fear of immediate death due to their strong mechanical nature. In my opinion it would be a waste to not at least attempt to threaten a shipside marine or two.
Answer to question 2
The second question is, in my opinion, is much more straight forward. In this situation, the first action I am going to take is to get outta there. No benefit to the round can occur from me chasing prey into well defended xeno fortifications. I would also want to prevent the onset of a hive offensive against me (the combo of warrior, carrier, and defender is NOT a hive offensive on its own, but could quickly scale to 5+ bugs). I would continue to stalk and hunt the marked defender, given he initiated the fight. If possible assuming I catch the defender resting alone, I would throw the defender at a window (ideally one I hit a few times first so it breaks) then taunt him for his cowardice and/or mass. This last bit assumes Yautja can throw defenders a tile or two. I know some xenos can be thrown, unsure on which specific ones can or cannot.
Answer to question 3
Finally, Youngbloods are something that I would only really mess with once I am well antiquated with the role. Off the top of my head, a few opportunities for RP include: cooking their own feast made from what they hunted in the preserve, a tournament of duels among each other for training purposes (fighting only to near crit), or have them preform “Cleaning duty” Of the artifacts in the trophy room while I speak to the glory of clan Loxzil’s history. Specific to my character’s back story as being trained by a shaman, I would also be open to holding religious ceremonies such as blessing weapons in the name of Paya, making offerings to Dlex for fierce prey to combat, building a shrine in the preserve, or if another hunter falls, holding funerary services for them.
