If I roll Charlie and get put on comms instead of Kilo ONE MORE TIME im gonna freak out. Or, vice versa, I prep uno and snacks on kilo and then get told to backline while charlies on comms.

Sorry bud but Charlie ain’t no frontline assault squad any longer! C In Charlie is for comms duty BROTHER! But in all seriousness, the support squads should carry a player mindset of being flexible to conduct the tasks given by CIC so marines can succeed overall together. If Charlie is on comms duty, you don’t JUST have to sit on comms. You can go above and beyond and connect comms to the FOB or even start backline patrols/recovery missions to support the backline while the assault squads assault. Its better to be a team player rather than someone wasting the slot.

I played a lot of CIC during the ASS test and let me tell how assigning the Support Squads went:
”Err… Kilo has no Comtech… Oscar has like 3 riflemen.”
”Guess Charlie is doing Comms, put Kilo on frontline defense and Oscar on backliner patrol.”
Its not a matter of each squad having a dedicated role, which is counter-intuitive of what the Support squads are suppose to be, but who has what capabilities at a given time.

Agreed. Why stop at one? Alpha and Delta were meant to work together to get comms online. The other squads can SUPPORT the war effort by killing some bugs at the frontline.

We wouldn’t need an entire squad to afk on comms if it wasn’t the only way to make playing CIC bearable because of comms garble.
The moment comms goes out, cohesion goes out the window and it’s basically a crapshoot if the ungaball wins or dies instantly.
