What are you reporting?:

Behavior involving Misconduct

Description of the incident:

You have been noted by Westrover.
The note is: Note – Rule 2, 4 – Roleplay: As CL, was a main player in an incident that culminated in a mass death. The main cause was a disagreement over who had control over a W-Y synthetic and W-Y survivors. The disagreement spiraled into an unintentional mass grief due to misunderstandings.

I believe I’ve been unfairly noted. During that round, I was informed that a broken W-Y synthetic was being delivered to medical. I went there, collected its body, and brought it to my office so it could be repaired by a friendly MT.

At that point, one of the colonists unholstered his weapon and began threatening me with violence. When I moved the body, the colonist opened fire on me, but I managed to avoid it and quickly proceeded to my office.

While in my office, the same colonist arrived with his gun drawn and demanded that I hand over the synthetic’s body. Because of his earlier aggression, I used pepper spray on him, disarmed him, and attempted to calm him down. Unfortunately, he pulled out another weapon and attacked my character. By sheer luck, a nearby private killed him and saved me.

After recovering, I reported the incident to the Major and urged him to remove the colonist’s access so he could not attack me again. Twenty to thirty minutes passed without further interaction with either the colonist or the synthetic. Nevertheless, after all this time, they decided to bomb my office, instantly killing 6+ people inside. At this point all people inside CL office were attacked with both deadly gas bombs and flashbangs with zero escalation, or even words being spoken

Despite all of this, I was noted for breaking Rules 2 and 4. According to the moderator, it was my fault, and the bombing of my office was considered only an “unintentional mass grief.” I would like to request a proper and diligent investigation and removal of note.

Thank you for your time.

hello yes, I corrected the note and typo imeditally after and added more context, (pre you making this report)

Note - Rule 2, 3 - Roleplay and community expectations: As CL, was a main player in an incident, that cultivated in a mass death. The main cause was a disagreement over, who had control over a WY Synth, and WY survivors. The disagrement spiraled into a ship wide shoutoutthat resulted in the deaths of multiple players.

I will admit this note i have a lot of typos with and that is my fault as I wanted to type the note quickly to do some chores around the house

First of all, the note was only corrected after I sent a message via ahelp requesting more information related to it. Secondly, there was no disagreement regarding control of the synthetic. After being repaired inside the CL office by the MT, the synthetic was sent away and I saw him later with a colonist at CIC. During that round my character was always unarmed and spent most if his time inside the office RPing with other shipside crew memebers.

That so-called ship-wide shootout was actually just a single colonist. First, he tried to shoot me in lower medical while I was dragging a body toward the ladder. Then, about two minutes later, he stormed the main office to try to kill me again.

Furthermore, the situation did not escalate on the ship, because after the repair, there was zero interaction between me, the colonist, or the synthetic until 20–30 minutes later, when they decided to kill me and six or more others.

Gassing my office was simply an act of griefing and improper escalation and I do not believe that bringing the body of a W-Y synthetic unit into my office for it to be repaired by the MT violates server rules 2, 3, or 4, nor do I believe it justifies two assassination attempts and mass griefing.

Hey there.

I’ve checked the logs and spoken with the parties involved. The whole incident began when Bob Cross tried to subdue William Crimson with pepper spray and, together with his friend, attempted to cuff Crimson. Bob Cross failed, and Crimson started firing their D18 pistol. You already know the rest. We believe this event was the starting point of everything that followed, therefore we don’t see anything wrong with the note that was issued.

For the record, if you are not an MP, using pepper spray against someone may justify a lethal response.
