Why do you wish to become a Fax Responder?
In my playtime as CL and CC, I have found it hard to move the shipside RP forward without clear objectives, and the reports I made to the Company often seemed to go ignored, making it harder for me to push forward. I feel that simply having someone on the other end of the line will improve the general experience of both roles, especially for those new to them.
What do you consider the purpose of this role?
I believe that the role of a Fax Responder is, primarily and across all of its subroles, to receive messages via the fax machine, and either respond if it is within their responsibilities to do so, or bring it to the attention of staff if it isn’t. For the W-Y and Free Press responder, they also guide their affiliated shipside roles by giving simple objectives that do not adversly impact the round.
When would you consider it appropriate to use your phone?
While I can imagine that such a situation may exist, I will likely never use the phone unless specifically directed to by a member of staff.
If playing WY Responder, what objectives do you consider within your power to give the CL?
Acquire vials of Xenomorph plasma and store them for later pickup
Ensure the safe return of the colony’s Black Box.
Determine the fate of the colony’s Liaison.
If playing Press Responder, what objectives do you consider within your power to give the CC?
Acquire pictures of the Xenomorph and fax them to me.
Capture pictures of the Marines engaging the enemy.
Write a report on how the Marines built their FOB.
