this guy is awesome or something +1
+1 fuck yesss
+1 You may have forgotten me Aidel, but i was your pocket medic #0074A alongside with Svato Plinko, but alas all my history was scrubbed clean and Iām nothing but a shadow in your greatness, i have a picture of you, Svato and I plabbing runners together in backlines, it was great memories those. But all great things must come to an end. My face and name is nothing but a blur for you, for I canāt plab no longer. My fingers, my body quakes as i type on keyboard, no longer can i heal or revive people in 5 seconds flat anymore, the pain for me is too much, a phantom pain if you will.
Hey, guys. Iām here in the comments to argue a question I worry Iāll get, that one being āthis quirk seems generic or bland at best.ā Perhaps Iām just overthinking it, but I think the idea that I was trying to convey may be missed unless explicitly written out, and Iām here to argue against it.
Itās a pretty common theme. Most support-based synthetics would have this trait, wouldnāt they? Most likely. So, what makes your synthetic so different from that?
Iāve put a lot of thought behind Ciara and her behavior. Sheās supposed to fit in with the rest, not stand out. Itās a sensible choice why the USCMC would purchase a failed synthetic line thatās being resold. I think many a synthetic player are always searching for that āuniquenessā that playing their character becomes a challenge. Iāve straight up seen others write āI FINALLY GOT TO UTILIZE MY QUIRKā despite being decently long-term holders. Itās written to have a grounding point (the caretaking part) whilst showcasing the depth of her thoughts and reactions to those around her. On the surface, it looks like your run of the mill average programming. I think the subtleness of maintaining the fluid characteristics of her quirk are truly where it shines. Itās a quirk that can be applied pretty much anywhere when itās needed. I understand that not everyoneās inclined to roleplay and just want to play the game like a TDM, and that is perfectly fine to me.
I just hope that itās not being thought of a haphazardly thrown together personality trait, and that I fully intend to explore unique and interesting ways to uphold Ciara should I be given the time and place. Thanks.
+1 I can vouch for them being competent at support roles. Also is a cool guy to chat with.
NICE AND SLOW
NI NICE AND SLOW
+1 robust player with gamesense and knowledge and
Long term player, doo-doo head who abuses me 4 no raisin, genuinely fun guy to roleplay with.
No doubt in my mind that Aidel can roleplay a serious, believable character consistently if they wanted to.
+1
Slyoski has demonstrated to me over the time I have known him in CM proficiency in medical and engineering, and a willingness to impart that game knowledge to newer players during rounds. Iāve been able to see a range of character emotions portrayed while interacting with other players, ranging from funny banter to introspective thinking about the motivations of their character and those of their friends for serving in the USCM. I thoroughly believe he has the mechanical skills and willingness to create meaningful interactions in the WL. +1
i can vouch for slyoski. give them the whitelist now PL0X ;D +1
There isnāt really much of anything I can be saying at all to vouch for Slyoski- and I mean that as a complete compliment, hear me out! He is one of the few people where all of the memories I have had with him are some-things that anyone can recognize will be of a complete nostalgic pointer down the line at some point. He has no irritations almost ever in interacting, inquiring, and overall engaging himself with even the people who he hasnāt the faintest idea who they are if they are around him for a start, even in the worst situations in gameplay & RP that can be presented to him as I had seen particularly around his doctor rounds lately.
My favorite memory of him is when all Iād said is a few words of āgoodbyeā in a situation that was hopelessly lost, and Slyoski managed to RP AND MECHANICALLY-RATIONABLY come up with a reasoning AND a plan for him to go out of his complete way and rescue myself and other marines and it WORKED! If that doesnāt ring an exemplary balance of care, RP potential, and mechanical competence, Iām not sure what would!
Did I also mention heās competent in all areas Iāve observed him every play, in particular support! Thatās mostly besides the point though- in any case here is my +1 endorsement for the app!
Hey man so if someone is flashing red about to perma and I get dragged to you -1000 damage who are you treating first and why is it me?
+1, Simply put, I adore Aidel and think they would do an outstanding job as a synth. Not only are they good people but they happily and actively engage in conversation and roleplay with practically anyone. Each round is made better just by seeing them awake. Their skill is self evident as both a shooter and in the myriad of support roles. Iāll happily lose a synth roll to Ciara cause let be honest, theyād do a better job.
Clearly every synthetic is hard wired to treat Caroline A.W. Ljungman like itās some sort of emergency quest activation.
In all seriousness though, itās the damage thatāll do it. If the marine is within the limits of 200 damage whilst flashing and thereās active people doing CPR, Iāll give two shocks or so and give dex plus before using the absolute blazing speed of kits and suture/grafting the highest damage limbs to get you up as quick as possible. If theyāre unsavable, theyāre unsavable, focus on who can be.
Synthetics can CPR pretty fast so I could probably chain CPRs between my treatment as needed, pill during defib, all that good stuff.
After discussion and a council vote, Iām happy to inform you that your application has been Accepted.
Obviously the community holds you in high regard and we think this was a really good application, we in the council are excited to see Ciara around the Almayer.
Welcome aboard
