Question regarding the recent SOP changes made 4 days ago.
The sentence of 'The Ordnance Technicians are a part of the Engineering department.' was removed. Are they no longer a part of the engineering department? Or was that sentence removed because it was not needed to specified particularly?
The OTs aren’t part of the Engineering department anymore because they exploded themselves into pieces already at round-start.
The real answer is that line was not needed. It doesn’t say in SOP that nurses are part of the medical department, but you can figure it out.
It was removed because the line wasn’t needed. OTs are still part of the engineering department and that should be obvious by the engineering radios, department coloured doors and the fact that they show up on the engineering section of the crew manifest and crew monitors.
If OT’s are no more part of the engineering department, that will mean the CE or an MT will not be able to deploy even if there is an OT present.
@MistChristmas It was not contingent on having the OT in specific yes. But the SOP also says At least one member of each department must remain aboard the ship at any given time.
To be sure I will try to get a certain answer from staff, as when I ahelped in game the admin that responded was not sure of the answer as well and tried to avoid giving me false answers.
