Description of the incident:
be me, FTL alpha, wanting to make my very own strike team and do something no other FTL/marine does, do backdoor tactics in chance to bring in victory and get praise, later on in the round when us marines we are near the sensors, tried to get ob cord, cic couldnt fired said ob on ob cords, i was like “fuck” cause i told marines to pull back and they did around the building near sensors caves, xenos push and they are starting to win and we are taking heavy damage from them, and i see it as the perfect chance to do my usual tactic and i called it the B.S.F.T and basically assign couple of marines who are WILLING to come with me and backdoor xenos or at least get intel, clear weeds, and tunnel, i made it clear to CIC as they tried to assign me as aSL, to not do that, i dont like leading squad due to me being afraid ill crap on the OP somehow (i made mistakes many times IC and many times it killed people like shooting someone with mortar by accident or gibbing co with mortar by accident with a OT shell), and that ill be backdooring research caves (i THINK i told them, not sure), my reason for doing so because usually when both main forces of marines and xenos fight usually there arent that many backliners and its a perfect chance to flank xenos or at least clear weeds, tunnels, get intel, its high risk high reward kind of thing, i genuinely thought if i just stay with the main force of the OP we will lose the push and be forced to a seige to FOB, at least thats how i veiwed it, command did tell me many times to go with the main force and i refused, we cleared weeds in research and 2 tunnels there because in my mind it was like “incase they try to flank us north side let me be a step ahead and get intel on the situation over there just incase” , heck, i even had a MD to see if there is even one backliner we retreat immediatly. In the end of the day i believe my strategy and action impacted the OP and we won partly because of what and my team did, then we joined back with the main force and i took charge of my team and charged the queen hard and she was super low which then when i was assigned aSL cause i saw that the only time marines will listen to me (there was a aSL) i told alpha to rush queen because she and her forces were super low and yeah thats what happened.
I understand that disobeying CIC as SL or FTL is against the rules UNLESS theres a very very good reason for it, and i believe that what i did was a good reason. I as a marine and a team leader i want to bring victory to the marines, i get this is roleplay and believe that in battle you cant always do what your commander wants you to do, the situation i was placed in when we were being heavily attacked near sensors made me want to do anything to let our marines win and thats all, no malice or anything, i did the FTL backline thing with a team before and for example (i dont remember what round exactly) but i took one alpha was willing to come with me with 2 other bravos one PVT brand new and another bravo rfn (i met them and asked them if they wanna come with us), many times we cleared weeds as the main force of xenos fought and we backdoored there hive and destroyed hive core, said it in comms and retreated immediatly, we joined the main force and deleted the rest of the bugs.
non important thought that i wanted to say here: Id like to add im the kind of person that wants to be different than people and do off meta stuff like i did “death missions” as CT and backline xenos, boom it worked i destroyed hive. One day i thought of the revolver and said “what if it can be a sniper rifle… i want to make a cursed gun” and i did, AND IT WORKED, and it was posted in the discord server and i went around many rounds to show off my creation to people and they said its cursed and i roleplayed, had fun, and people had fun with me, i acted like batman once while i was in jail for something and the MP’s and CMP said in ooc later they did HRP with me and had fun, point is, i like doing things no person thinks about at the same time not breaking rules, i dont want to break rules and i want to be creative to bring fun for myself and others and be goofy around people, thats what games exist for.
To summarinze, as FTL, gathered a bit of alpha men when i was with the main force witnessing we are taking heavy casualties and most likely we will retreat to FOB and that OB (the second time i gave cords it worked) was weak and literally didnt do anyhting, decided to flank xeno territory on research in the intention of getting intel, clearing weeds, and tunnels, and potentionally the hive maybe and retreating to the main force if possible, i believe that my action contributed at least a tiny bit, then i continued staying with the main force charging against queen and her forces and told the others they were low and they took it off and killed them.
Edit: i believe the staff didnt do anything bad, i just dont agree with the ban and wanted to give my point of veiw and make it clear i have no bad intentions and i dont want to break any rules and genuinely am trying to bring fun to myself and others in the game.\
Edit 2: i wasnt sure whether to make a staff report or a ban appeal so i asked one of the managers via discord ticket and was told if i dont agree with the ban then staff report but if i agree with it and want to appeal it then ban appeal, just wanted to put that out there.
