I take my playing of SS13 CM as well as the roles that I take very seriously; Corpsmen, Doctor or Researcher.
Today, the admins ltnts, Vending Machine and Grimreaperx are justifying a PERMABAN over a rule 9 “NAME VIOLATION” and a rule 2 violation “Griefing”.
They did this in a round where I was given an EXCECUTION by LEATHAL INJECTION in CIC while the admins themselves began jeering and taunting.

And as you die
“you have lost the game”- Vending Machine.
Then permabanned.
If you think this is unusual or if your feeling outraged… maybe you should.
I think these admins may have escalated problems if not intentionally and disproportionately use the rules to hurt and harm other players . I think they have done so with me and have done so with other players for no real reason but for their own pleasure. I use myself as an example. I don’t think they care about you players so long as they get their fix, the community is their playground. This is a wild thing to claim but as I literally mentioned above, “new rule you die in game you die in real life” doesn’t sound like neutral arbiters of justice.
This year I started playing ss13 CM and I’ve nearly put 1000 hours into this game, 800 hours of it in the medical field and I take it seriously when it comes to bringing marines back from the brink. I’ve been awarded medals for my dedication to medicine and research.
I’ve been acknowledged by those in medical, research and command as someone who does their job well or to the very best of my ability.
I’m not an angel but I do care.
I care enormously about community and the people I play with.
In that time, I’ve made friends and associate and dare I say, found even a home away from home.
It’s an honor to be recognized for your name and good deeds. I’ve found my home with research and the boys in research and I’m always excited when the captain or XO recognizes our work and efforts.
Now imagine this, that the name you’ve grown attached to has now been arbitrarilly deemed a violation to a rule that doesn’t exist.

Earlier today I was given a RULE 9 Infraction. (Illegal user NAME) by ltnts. An issue I’ve never come across prior to today.
That my name that I’ve used for over 800 hours, Stannis Doughope is too much like comedian Doug Stanhope which I think is preposterous. They’re not the same and even if they were , it’s not against the rules.
Rule 9 specifies that names should not imitate a real world celebrity or INGAME persons like a Donald Trump, Ripley, Hick or a Weyland. If I were a Steven Spellsberg (Spelt that way), that would not be a violation of rule 9 unless I were playing as a director or making constant nods to E.T. In the rules it has noted examples characters being of a Michael Bolton and even a Michael Jordan and specifies that although it’s at the admin’s discretion, if one doesn’t LARP as a SINGER, DIRECTOR OR BASKETBALL PLAYER, it is permittable. By the definition of the rules. If I were Bill Dwyane Hicks Johnson, that too should be a pass according to rule 9 as it’s too absurd to be only a Aliens callback.
That being the precedent, there’s nothing wrong with Stanis Doughope who carries a middling resemblance to Doug Stanhope, a C lister at best of a celebrity.

Stanis Doughope! That’s my avatar, who I’ve been. I’ve recused hundreds if not thousands of marines from the jaws of death with my UNGA shots, Revival mix and defibrillator. When I bust out chems out the chemline at a breakneck speeds, tripplefisting 3 buckets of UNGA, people know, that’s Stanis, and they’ll get their meds. When you see a that researcher monofocued on botany, you say to yourself, poor guy, that’s STANIS.
When someone recognizes that bushy yellow bedhead hair guy, they know that it’s Stanis and I’m their G.
The name is Stanis, then it’s Doughope.
Means trust, reliability and hope for all the Dougs.
It means shits getting done.
That’s why this name matter to me.
Multiply that by 800 hours.
I tried to appeal, wrote an essay and that was brushed under the rug by copy and paste response by admin Grimreaperx15
“Meme report, denied. Don’t remake this report.
Resolved - Denied, unserious report.”
Blocked from even the community from responding.
That was it.
It accused my response for being unserious and a joke when it was everything but.
This is also the same admin that given me a month ban two weeks prior from the medical/researcher position for giving out celebratory mind breaking (LSD) after a 45 minute round where we had no casualties 2 minutes before world restart. He accused my revelry as griefing and banned me from practicing medicine and researcher for a month even though MPS shot me dead tripping on LSD. I love medicine and more specifically research. A role i’ve put easily 300+ hours in. I wrote to him a heartfelt apology on discord, explaining that i didn’t think i was griefing at the time but I’m weighed heavily being separated from my fellow researchers and that I should not have spoiled the experiences of others. Doesn’t reply.

Then today, the argument I made against rule 9 I made was not engaged with or was it debated. I was deemed a joke and thus not serious.
In my argument I did say that I refuse to change my name, I rather die than change it because it is my name, and that it doesn’t violate rule 9, it’s a name i’ve grown very attached to and that I’ve play for so very long.
I start a new game only to find my name scrambled.

I’m playing as corpsmen, a job I take pretty seriously and I’m waiting inline for UNGA and other meds. This was an unusually high pop round with 150-180 participants. The CMO, a Michael ‘Ponyboy’ Calhoun, is denying the ENTIRE CHEMLINE Unga and meds as well as leaving an inexperienced doctor to singlehandedly serve 10+ corpsmen as well as blocking any doctor from making UNGA, claiming that it’s illegal to offer “steroids” as well as insulting everyone in the line. Most of these corpsmen don’t get any meds and definitely no UNGA. They are forced by the MPs to not revolt and forced onto the Alamo.
I use “Riotous” by no understatement. The Mps assaulted a few and myself in medsci.
1stLt Michael ‘Ponyboy’ Calhoun says, “We’re not making untested, unregulated steroids.”
Missed the Alamo, I return to the chemline and get the rest of my essential medicine. 40 minuties of waiting aftrer round start we’re still being berated by the CMO, who is still actively preventing anyone from making UNGA for LRP reasons.
He even makes a cart of UNGA color soto just to piss everyone off. It was impressively close to UNGA it was in color.
But NEVER mess with a CORPSMEN UNGA.
At that moment, My guy, Stanis, lose patience OD’s him with 50ish oxy, which isn’t permanent, there are doctors all around, he deserved it for nearly cause a riot, he deserved it more for depriving a dozen men of life saving medication. He absolutely deserved it for making Unga Colored SOTO. As well as actively obstructing and bottlenecking the chemline and it being the 40th minute of the mission.
I bet he would also admit that too
I’m arrested and taken to CIC. Rightfully so. Meanwhile too many admins are trying to contact me. I’m extremely flustered but I don’t see any of the messages as I’m trying to reply to just ONE yet I’m missing these.
Meanwhile the admins had the gall to change my name again… this time to Bryson Bould.

Meanwhile in CIC, the MP’s and the CMO who surprise, isn’t dead decide to have me barbarously executed by lethal injection. While this is happening, the admins decide to larp ingame and troll.

I miss most of these messages because I’m trying to respond to just one. In CIC, I’m facing lethal injection which I’m pretty sure was without a commanding officer ordering or witnessing. The person administering the lethal injection is ironically the CMO, PONYBOY, who’s name ironically violates rule 9 because it implies erotic role play.
I am denied prayers to my god before I die.

I’ve tried my best to illustrate the problem here.
The job of the admin isn’t to play god or lord over people. It’s not to cause trouble nor is it to escalate.
If I were CMO or an admin, i would not have done any of those things.
To make sure that at the end of the day, take this game seriously enough and have fun. Not to participate in the causation of problems. It 's not to powertrip but to be fair and proportionate moderators. Being an admin is understanding that at the end of the day, this is only a game but it doesn’t mean that they can abuse the rules for their own pleasure and entertainment.
It’s not correct for admins to abuse players.
Being an administrator isn’t carte blanch for abusive behavior.
It’s a real red flag when rule makers do not follow their own rules.
It’s a red flag when they don’t spend the time to communicate with you in regards to said rules.
It’s a red flag when those rule makers then participate in your MOCK EXCECUTION.
It’s a red flag when they accuse you of breaking rule 9 while allowing the CMO with the middle name PONYBOY to excecute you via lethal injection.
It’s a red flag to then be PERMA BANNED right after said execution while be taunted by Admins.
It’s a problem being perma banned from a game you’ve spent hundred of hours without issue, playing in a supportive and caring capacity.
It’s a problem when the admins write this before your death fearing no repercussion or inquiry.

It easy to throw around perma bans like it’s nothing. That’s predatory.
It’s hypocritical griefing players with a arbitrary reading of the law used to protect players from being grieved.
Taunting and goading a player during an execution then banning him isn’t not correct conduct.
If this is a perma ban, the problem lies among admin
Because they’ve committed more casual grief compared to repeat offenders
I’ve done my outmost to be transparent.
