Add an ability to Carrier, Queen, Praetorian(?) called “Summon Larva”.
I think there should be some IC complication to ungarushing Hive while infected, and delaying enough time (+ use of this ability) could result in forced bursts.
After a 1s casting time on a target within line of sight, that is infected, unnested with a 30 second cooldown:
The target will drop to the floor for a small stun (like Sentinel acid), feel pain, get a warning message
The Larva will accelerate growth by one stage.
This isn’t useful outside of Hive pushes, or maybe some unique use backlining: because only nested hosts provide the 0.5 extra larvae when burst.
Being hugged shouldn’t act as any form of buff, like how a xeno on fire shouldn’t be a buff. Making being hugged more of a detriment instead of “Oh, i’m immune to huggers and eggs now!” is honestly needed sometimes.
un-nest, cast summon larva, re-nest. Repeat a few times til last stage. Speeds up larva growth by double time. Some more coding would be needed to stop those shananagans. Also immediately after hugging a player they would get some force speed ups while taking to the nest.
Right now if a hugged gets tackled even a lesser can permastun them easily, well til the limit kicks in. The real consequence is a sent can act as a queen against them.
This might be an alright idea? ehh. You still want a hugged player that woke up after hugged to be able to fight his way out of whatever the hell situation they got themselves into, but I understand marines fighting while hugged on pushes is a bit cringe.
Larvas r undetectable by a host until a certain point. And the buff makes sense, xenos want to protect their young and double facehugging is bad at that.
They are unaware of larva surgery in roleplay or something i think
